Journey Through the Omnipotent World 2: New Era

"Remember...." was all I heard. an echo crying out to me, but I couldn't tell where the voice was coming from. it was male that was for sure, and also very familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint it. static made it hard to hear. with that I woke up inside a weird area laying on a long narrow table with a bunch of other people all around me. I heard everyone whispering and saying stuff like "he's awake." and "is that really him? he's the one." I was a little confused, but I looked behind me to see Maya, and Chief standing with some weird girl in a fancy old western dress with an out of place umbrella. "hello, I don't believe we've formerly met." the girl said with a British accent. "uh." I thought. "man this reminds me of so many different...wait....what was I gonna reference?" the girl stuck her hand out to shake and said "your name is Jake, correct? mine is Tomaki." I reached out my hand and shook hers with it and said "yeah, that's my name. uh. how do you know it, exactly?" the girl simply laughed and said "it's a funny story, I hear you've lost your memory? well, all of us here owe you, so we're gonna help Maya and Chief here." I nodded a little confused still on what they meant. Maya seemed to breathe to life from stiffness and said "well, let's get this started. all right, all you have to do is focus on restoring his memories, now it would be easier if we knew what they were, but if I did I wouldn't need everyone here. I'm only the guider, so I can't help with you guys. I'll leave my body and enter his mind, and then try to put the broken pieces back together, literally." with that everyone took one last deep breath and began some sort of ritual around me. "AHH!" I shouted as I felt my mind explode with pain. "It's starting. now remember, this is all for him. he may not like it now, but he'll thank us later! keep it up!" Chief said. "My mind! it...hurts!...why!..." I screamed. then I heard it again a little bit clearer this time "Remember...Jake!...Remember who you are! give up your life of pure, and return to the shadows of the good and the bad!" "A....VOICE...IN...MY...HEAD....AHHH!" I murmured out as loud as I could. "keep goin'!" Maya yelled.

"AHH" I screamed as I saw a blinding white light appear in my head. "Remember your destiny." I heard a voice say as a figure appear to be reaching out his hand at the end of the light. I tried to reach for the figure, but I didn't have any arms for some reason. "take these. they will help." the figure said. I saw a bunch of images and moments in time floating at light speed at each end of the light and suddenly I started remembering everything that I had once forgotten. "I...Re....member!" I shouted just before I collapsed on the long narrow table and passed out. I heard everyone screaming and yelling in victory, but I wasn't very happy as I fell asleep. when I woke up I found myself alone with only Maya with her back turned looking at a mysterious dark hallway. I used my mind to reshape my body to be more fit like I was before when I was here the first time. I walked up to Maya and sat on the ground with her as we stared at the darkness. "hi." I said calmly. she turned and said "hi." softly. we both stayed silent for a long time. I didn't really know much about her, but we seemed to have been good friends in our past life. "so, I'm still readjusting to my old life, and I see you've all moved along quite fast, but tell me...is it true? did Crossed Lines break up after Akio left?" I asked. she stayed silent for a long time and then answered "yeah, but there's been more trouble. the darkness is everywhere now. and not only that, but the One's are starting to form their own organizations. some of them used to worship humans, others had lived peacefully. now all that's left is mostly chaos and hatred. although Gurd and people like him have started to idolize you for what you've done for this planet." I was stunned and didn't know what to say to her. idolize? me? was what I was thinking as I was trying to process all of that information. suddenly out of nowhere I got a painful headache and heard a voice, the same one from earlier say "you must meet with us, here at this location." I felt like my head just got taken over, since I knew instantly where I should be going, but first I needed to get someone to come with. "someone who has been just about everywhere with me. someone I've been neglecting." I thought. I teleported to Wix stuffed her as she struggled get free into my pants pocket and then, because I thought it would be good to test out my powers once again gave myself super-speed. I ran as fast as I could all the way to the other side of the planet into some sort of desert. "man this place is bar-ren." I said as I looked up to see two other versions of me looking down at me from a medium sized ledge.
