Bad Timings // Dan Howell X Reader

Two days later...

Your P.O.V

I'm sat in the living room with Dan and Phil when Phil's phone rings. He leaves the room and in a couple minutes he enters again with a awkward smile on his face.

"Oh guys my mums coming to visit tomorrow!" Phil says

"Oh well we better tidy up" Dan pauses "later" Then yawns.

"It will be nice to finally meet your mum in person!" I laugh

"Yeah she's excited to meet you properly." Phil smiles.

-Time skip-

Phil left to pick up his mum from the train station, while me and Dan check and make sure the flat is nice. I finish in the kitchen, so I walk into the lounge when suddenly Dan appears out of no where and we bump into each other.

As I move left so I can go in the living room Dan also moves left, I then move right and Dan moves right. We keep doing this for a while when you hear him giggle. That's when you realise he's doing this on purpose. So you decide to quickly move your fingers close to his neck. He then freaks out and falls on the floor. You finally walk into the living room when he drags you down too and starts to tickle you.

" N-No Dan Stop!" You screech

"Never!" He laughs

Then we hear a key unlock the front door.

"I'm back!" We hear Phil shout. Dan and I both get up and welcome Phil's mum.

"Hi!" Dan says giving her a hug.

"Hello Daniel!" She says

"Hello, it's so nice to meet you in person." You smile while hugging Phil's mum.

"You too!" She says ecstatically

Time skip a bit

We are all sat in the lounge when Dan and Phil go and make some more cup of tea

" so how long?" Kathryn says

"Umm excuse me?"

"You and Dan, how long have you two been together?"

"Umm we're not together." I reply

"But you like each other."

"Well I like him like crazy but I don't know if he likes m- wait how did you know?" I ask

"The way you look at him when he's not looking and the way he looks at you when your not looking that's all you two do."

I stay quiet.

"Has anything happened between you and Dan?!" She asks

"Well we've kissed a couple of times but that's it."

"You like him. He obviously likes you, so make a move before it's too late..." she states

Dans P.O.V

I finished making the tea as Phil went to the toilet and as I start taking them into the living room I decide not to go in. I'm not sure why but I listened to
y/n and Kathryn's conversation.

"Well I like him like crazy but I don't know if he likes m- wait how did you know?" Y/n says

Who are they on about.. It's probably Phil.

Oh God what if it's Phil?!

"The way you look at him when he's not looking and the way he looks at you when your not looking that's all you two do."

"Has anything happened between you and Dan?" She says

"Well we've kissed a couple of times but that's it."

Wait me?! Y/n likes me!

"You like him. He obviously likes you, so make a move before it's too late.." she says

Omg I can't believe she likes me! She really likes me, a lot.

As I walk into the living room with the biggest smile ever I can see y/n is feeling awkward.

"What are you so happy about?" Y/n say smiling.

"Oh nothing." I say while mentally planning on how to ask her out.

OH LOOK ANOTHER SKIP
(Still Dan's POV)

Phil's mum had left and him and y/n were walking her back to the train station. I had the flat to myself. I decided I would finally ask y/n out but what we would do and how I would do it.
