Bad Timings // Dan Howell X Reader

Dylan and I walk through a park and up onto a small hill, I take off my shoes and run them through the soft grass, everything is just so peaceful.

"It's so nice here" I whisper

"It is isn't it" Dylan sits up beside me,  curious I sit up too and look at him, our eyes lock "y/n" he breathes out

before he says anything else I connect my lips with his.

His lips felt soft on mine, tasting like the strawberry ice cream we had previously had. I savour this kiss as it is the only I have had in months. But then we pull away

"I- um" i begin to giggle, "I'm sorry" I apologise, twiddling my thumbs shocked that I had just done that.

"Hey I'm not complaining" Dylan chuckles, I slap his shoulder gently, kissing his lips once again.

We lay at the top of the hill for hours, our fingers intertwined. That's when we made it official

"Be my girlfriend?" Dylan springs up "I care about you so much y/n, and I want to be with you"

My smile beaming across my face "yes, of course yes" I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me.

As I sit on my hotel bed my mind wonders to the repressed side of my brain.

Dan

I haven't checked up on him or Phil and the tour since it began. Maybe just one peak....

I grasp my phone in my hand heading to twitter, millions of meet and greet pictures pop up with cute messages, I decide to like and retweet a few as I found it so cute. Next I head to Instagram and like pictures of meet and greets aswell, I do the same on other social media's then I head to text.

To Philly:
Hey Phil! How's the tour going?

I send the text and put my phone down, soon enough Phil replies with a text

From Philly:
Hey y/n! Been a while. It's going great! We've met so many amazing people and the show is good I hope😂 dan tripped on stage before me, are you proud? xD

I smile at his quirky ness but my heart drops when he mentions dan, I know it shouldn't but it does.

(Phil's POV)

I hear the beep of my phone and pick it up, once again a text from Y/n

From Y/n:
Haha, Hilarious!! I can imagine it now. Very proud mother

I laugh at her response, I missed taking to her, she's like my best friend aside from Dan obviously.

A few minutes later Dan arrives back in the hotel room with snacks, we dig into the snacks but I decide not to tell him Y/n contacted, he will have hope again. I'm not saying she won't come back to him but I don't want him to have false hope.

I know he still loves her
