Bad Timings // Dan Howell X Reader

I wake wrapped up in the blanket and not Dan's arms as I usually do, I decide to not think to much about it and get ready for the day.

I walk into an empty kitchen and pour myself some cereal
Where on earth are they

I check the time to make sure it's not to early
10:43 am

What?? Dan isn't usually awake at this time, this is so confusing.

After finishing my breakfast i head back to my apartment and open my wardrobe (closet) when I find a note

Wear something fancy but comfy

I do what the note says, it takes a while but I finally find the dress I'm looking for (this in whatever colour)

I apple makeup just in time to hear a knock at the door, assuming it is Dan I open it, surprising I see Phil holding a note out to me. I take it and read

I decide not to question it and we begin out of the apartment building, we get in a car and drive for about 10 minutes until it comes to a stop.

"Where are we?" I ask curiously

"I'm sorry I can't say" is all he replies

Phil suddenly stops, I turn to face him with a questioning look, he puts his hand out and says
"Just follow the candles"
"Okay?" I drag out the 'y' but turn to carry on walking anyway.

I keep my eyes on the floor to make sure I don't trip over when I reach the end of the candles, I slowly lift my head to reveal, a beach with a gazebo covered in rose petals, the only light source are the candles, so romantic

What the hell is going on?!?!

I start walking towards the gazebo when I make out a figure in the distance. Dan.

I smile and giggle "hey there handsome"

"Hey, you look amazing" he takes a Breath

"Thank you" he leans in and kisses my cheek

"Shall we?" He gestures over to a table covered in various foods, wow

"We shall" I reply

(After eating)

The slow music in the background makes everything much more perfect, as we stand he takes my hands and begins to dance

"Dan" I whine "I can't dance!" He doesn't stop

"Just follow my lead"

After a few seconds I get the hang of it, still stepping on his feet, but getting the hang of it.

We come to a stop and he just holds my hands, we stare into each other's eyes when he speaks

"Y/n" he starts "you are the most gorgeous girl I have every laid my eyes on, everybody has flaws including you, but you are perfect for me, I love the things you hate about
Yourself, you looked past my flaws and saw the real me, I fall more and more In love with you every single day, I never thought that I could love someone ask much as I do, and that is why I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I will always be here for you? Forever and always, so" he pauses and reaches into his pocket

Is this happening?!?! Tears start to well up in my eyes

"Y/n" he crouches down into one knee "will you marry me??" He finishes

"YES" I scream Tears falling freely out of my eyes "yes yes yes yes yes yes yes" I wrap my arms around his neck and crash my lips into his, "always yes"

He slides the ring onto my finger.....

That's when it all went black.....

My eyes burst open.....

It was a dream
