60: Going from bad to worse

Start from the beginning

"Love... It's such an important thing to have. It lifts you up even when you are feeling your lowest. It helps you push through the tough times. It gives you something to fight for. It gives someone for you to run back home to." I smile giddily, staring off into blank space, imagining my future with Moselle. I can see us getting married right after graduation, and then having kids together sometime after that, we live a happy life together and we grow old together. I sigh happily again, knowing that is the future that I want and I know that I can make happen. When I manage to pull myself back to reality (well, at least a little bit anyway), I notice Coach rolling his eyes and shaking his head at me.

"You hormonal teenagers are so impulsive and naïve. Wait until you get to the real world, son. It'll scare you. In fact, I bet you'll end up having to drink your problems away, just like I try to do." Coach tells me with a little scoff.

"I can't wait for you to see the big bad real world, pal. You're so sheltered here in school, you will not be prepared for the horrors of reality." Coach continues.

"Oh, you'd be surprised what I'm ready for, Coach.  I'm more mature and brave than you think." I reply confidently, almost wanting to tell him how I've fought in a war and I've seen enough death and pain to scare Coach away, but I don't. Coach just chuckles again. "I'll see you in class later today, lover boy. Now, get out of here. Go." Coach finishes the discussion and shoos me away. I shrug nonchalantly before I turn around start walking away from Coach and start looking for Moselle again.

"Stiles!" I hear someone call out from behind me. My heart skips a beat as I hear that voice that sets me alight. I turn around quickly with the biggest smile on my face. "Moselle!" I call out in joy as I rush towards her. Moselle starts running towards me too. When we finally reach each other, I quickly pick her up and spin her around in the air, smiling gleefully as Moselle laughs in joy. I can feel a lot of people's eyes on us, but I don't care. Their opinions don't matter. I just want Moselle to know that she is loved. After a few moments, I place her back down on the ground again and we grin at each other breathlessly. I then place my hands on her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck. I pull her in close to me and our lips clash together in a fiery, lustful and passionate kiss, the world around us seeming to disappear. I close my eyes happily, enjoying every sweet moment of the kiss, soon our tongues are dancing together in Moselle's mouth. I feel my one of my hands starting to move to her bottom while my other hand starts roam up her back as we continue to make out with each other. I moan slightly as Moselle tugs on my hair slightly, which makes me kiss her more roughly and faster, which she seems to like.

"Hey! Have you ever heard of getting a room? This is school, not 50 Shades of Grey!" Kara angrily shouts out from seemingly nowhere, making the two of us jump back from each other in surprise. We turn to look at Kara, who is at the front of a small crowd that had been watching us. Her eyes are narrowed and she is wearing a scowl as she folds her arms tightly across her chest. I can hear some of the other students whispering about us. I continue to hold Moselle close to me, not wanting to be far apart from her.

"We should be allowed to express our love for one another wherever we are. I'm sure you will feel the same when you find the right guy." Moselle replies to Kara in a kind voice. I watch as Kara starts to go an angry red.

"I have found the right guy." She mutters through her gritted teeth.

"Come on, Kara. Let us just have our fun. In fact, we all should just have fun. I'm sure many of you have someone here that you want to snog. Why not just do it?" I try to reason with Kara, addressing the rest of the crowd too. I can hear more surprised and confused whispers around us. Kara just glares between Moselle and I, shaking her head slightly. Suddenly, the bell rings, making all of us jump. The students around us start walking away. Kara lingers for a moment, her angry expression turning to worry and fear before she turns around and hurries away from us. I then gaze over at Moselle sadly. "I guess this is where we have to separate." I say glumly.
