71: Continuing to Worry

"Yeah, except for then, I guess." I sigh, remembering the awful times when I was dating Samantha and I was under her control. That was horrible. However, I can almost compare that experience to now. It still has its major differences obviously, but Stiles isn't himself and can't think clearly, just like I couldn't.

"It's just that Stiles seems so happy with Moselle." I shake my head sadly.

"Yeah, well, that's part of the love potion's job, right?" Kara comments a little sarcastically.

"It messes with your brain. Of course you'd be happy with the person that the potion wants you to fall in love with." Kara continues.

"I really hope Deaton can come up with a potion really soon, before it's too late. Apparently this love potion can actually kill the victims. I don't know how long that takes." I reply. Kara looks very concerned and nervous with that statement, but doesn't know what to say next.

"I'm scared, Kara. I don't know what is going to happen." I admit, my eyes starting to sting with tears a little bit. Kara walks over to me and pulls me in for a hug. I gratefully hug her back too. "I'm scared as well, Scott. But I know it will be okay. We can save Stiles and Moselle, I'm sure of it." Kara promises me as we continue to hug each other.

"I just don't think we can let either Stiles or Moselle know about what is happening. They won't listen." Kara continues as we pull out of the hug. I sniffle and wipe my eyes slightly.

"I guess..." I sigh sadly.

"I just want my Stiles back." I add as a few tears roll down my face. Kara gazes at me sympathetically.

"I know, Scott. I want Stiles back too." Kara replies as she squeezes my shoulder comfortingly.

"It isn't fair. Why him? Why did he have to be the one under a love spell? He doesn't deserve this! Neither does Moselle! I swear that I want Thalassa to pay big time for what she's done! Right now, with all my anger, horror and sadness, I want to kill her! She should die for what she's done and so she can't do it again!" I rant angrily. It does feel good to get it off my chest. Kara nods in agreement. "Yeah, I'm with you on that one. However, would you really let her be killed?" Kara asks me curiously.

"I want to. After all she has done, I really want to." I reply firmly. There aren't too many people that I would actually wish to see dead, but if people start messing with and hurting my friends and my family, that definitely changes things.

"Fair enough." Kara replies.

"Are you sure that we shouldn't tell the pack about this?" I ask Kara doubtfully.

"I think it'll be best if we wait until Deaton has found the cure, or at the very least figure out what love potion has been used. We don't need unnecessary panic. Also, if John found out before then... I doubt he will believe us. He'd probably be in denial. So yeah, we'd end up in more trouble. It'll be just easier for us to wait. There's not much that we can do right now, anyway. We just need to make sure to keep Stiles and Moselle out of trouble and danger." Kara replies, seeming confident and certain about it. I trust her judgement too and it does seem like the right decision, even if it doesn't necessarily feel like it. Usually the difficult decisions are the right decisions.

"Yeah, you're right. It's just hard waiting around, doing nothing." I reply with a small sigh.

"I know, Scott. I know." Kara says, gazing at me sympathetically. Suddenly, I hear someone knocking on the door. Kara and I both turn in that direction curiously. "I wonder who that could be?" I hear Kara mumble to herself. I can already pick up the scent and I can tell that it's Lydia. I start walking towards the entrance, Kara following right behind me. I open the front door to see a worried looking Lydia standing on the other side. I frown a little in concern. "Lydia? What's wrong?" I ask her nervously. Lydia appears to be shocked by my appearance but doesn't say anything about it. Lydia then looks around her for a couple moments before she answers me.
