100: Recovering and Revisiting Atlantia

Start from the beginning

"As I said, I didn't know I had bruises, but I can easily heal them with water. You worry too much, Scotty." I reply as I move away and stand up again. Scott starts standing up too, slowly, not wanting to make his headache worse.

"Of course I have to worry. I care about you and love you. I know you'd do the same thing for me." Scott reasons with me, taking my hand and holding it comfortingly.

"Yeah, I know, but still. I'm not totally fragile." I laugh. Scott shrugs, and I know that he has given into defeat, which makes me feel smug and proud.

"So, Scott, Isaac and Liam will be okay, Deaton?" Ben asks, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, they'll be fine after a rest and constantly keeping hydrated. As for Lydia, Kara and Kira, keep a close eye on them and give them a lot water. They should be okay in the morning. Well, as okay as you can be once you have a hangover." Deaton informs Ben and the rest of the group.

"Don't worry, Deaton. Ben and I will look after them." I reply with confidence as I pull Scott closer to my side, wrapping an arm around his waist.

"Good. I guess I'll see you all soon then. Have a good night." Deaton says. We all then exchange our goodbyes before we walk out of the animal clinic, with me helping Scott, Malia helping Kira, Isaac and Kara helping each other, Ben helping Lydia and Liam is managing fine on his own.

"Well, this has been an interesting night." Malia comments as we walk back to my jeep. I guess I'll have to be making multiple trips again.

"Are all parties like this?" Ben asks, turning to me curiously, with his arm wrapped around Lydia supportively.

"For us, yes. For most normal human teenagers, no." I answer as honestly as I can.

"Interesting." Ben nods.

"Ughh, I'm never drinking again." Kara groans as she buries her face into Isaac's shoulder.

"Congrats, Kara. You learned the hard way of what too much alcohol can do to you." I say, a slight edge of sarcasm in my voice.

"At least no one is seriously hurt." Malia points out, and I nod in agreement, knowing how quickly that party could have turned into an ugly murder scene.

The next week or so passes by without any more dramas, thank god. Jane has been arrested for spiking the drinks at the party and almost killing Scott and myself. Scott and I of course had to give statements to support the case, which didn't take too long. Chris also was able to find out what hunter family Jane came from, and it turns out that they are some really prestigious and old school type of hunting family, not willing to bend or change the rules as time goes on, not wanting to even give supernaturals the chance to plead their innocence. If you ask me, they remind me of how Gerard was, in a way.

Ben sometimes shows up at school for a couple lessons or so, quite fascinated with what we learn here for some reason. No questions are asked, as the principal is still under the slight enchantment that my dad knows that Ben is here and is allowing him to be here to check the school out while he's apparently visiting from the other side of the country. The other students in my classes seem a bit confused by Ben's arrival, but they never really question it, which is also a good thing for us. Ben is definitely enjoying land so far, and it's great to see him getting along so well with my friends.
