When I got back to the lab to work on somethings aka act like I'm doing something when I really can't a guard stopped me to tell me that Director Paige wanted to talk to me. He lead me to her office before walking away to leave me to walk in.
"You called?" I asked walking in to see her looking out into the city.
"Yes. Just wanted to notify you on something." She said before looking at me.
"Which is?" I asked.
"You're gonna head to the headquarters Janson is running. Just for a few days before you'll come back here and I'll head down." She said.
"What will I be doing? Checking on those who survived the first task?" I asked and she nodded her head, "Will I have to kill someone when I'm down there to get some blood before heading back here to experiment on."
"I understand you hate they way we handle this but..." She started to say before I said, "but we must do this so the people here can get the injection and live from the flare. I get it, this isn't the first time you've told me."
"A jet is waiting for you in the dock bay and some guards will go with you for protection." She said and I nodded my head before heading back to my lab to grab something before heading back to my small apartment in the city to get some clothes before returning to the labs to head to the dock bay. I saw the jet she was talking about before getting in and waited till we took off and headed to the headquarters.
On our way I looked out to see mainly a dead ground full of broken down buildings, roads, and cars with some cranks seeming to hide from things to attack. I went to look back inside to close my eyes till we got to the area.
-30 Minutes Later-
We got into their dock before I got off and ran inside before cranks outside could get to us making it into their transport bay when the doors closed and I saw Janson.
"Welcome Abbie." He said and welcomed me with open eye.
"Hello again, Janson." I said before asking, "Now give me the report?"
