08 → "I DON'T THINK SHE LIKES US VERY MUCH!"

The second girl woke up. Adeline was sitting by the girls bedside when she did. She woke with a gasp, then jolted forward upright. Her eyes shifted to Adeline, and in an instant she was up, dashing out the medical hut. In what Adeline believed to be fear, the girl locked her in the medical hut, jamming a chair from inside under the door knob outside in a blink of an eye. Adeline had to kick the door open, and by the time she dashed out of the hut, she heard the commotion. She watched as the girl scooped up a handful of rocks, carrying them in her shirt, climbing one handed up the ladder, up the lookout tower. Boys were scrambling towards the girl, bellowing out to her from the bottom. The girl screamed at them;

"Leave me alone!"

Boys stood at the bottom of the lookout tower, staring up at the girl. Adeline heard the sound of rocks clanging together, then saw the girl rise back to her feet. Her tar black hair glistened against the sunlight. Then, the girl pulled out a machete.

"Hey, girlie!" Frypan bellowed up. "Slim it nice and calm, OK? We don't wanna hurt you!"

"Leave me alone! I'm warning you now!"

"We just wanna talk!" Adeline called up.

"I don't care! Go away!" She shouted. Adeline groaned, turning to the boys.

"How did the girl get the machete?" Adeline quizzed, standing next to Newt. Newt rubbed the back of his neck.

"That's my fault." He admitted. "Left it on a trunk."

Adeline gave Newt a look, mentally face palming. "You stupid shuck - face."

"Sorry! I was more focused on the bloody girl collectin' rocks and threatenin' us as she escaped towards the buggin tower." Newt huffed. Adeline just rolled her eyes. She moved closer to the lookout tower.

"Hey, just —"

"As I told you, go away!"

Boys continued to try get the girl down, but she refused. And the more they tried, the more frustrated the girl got. Finally, she started tossing the rocks down at them. Not even Adeline's voice stopped her. The girl continues to throw the rocks at them, and boys begin to use different objects as shields against them.

"Leave me alone!" The girl repeats. Adeline ducks behind a small plank of wood she finds on the ground, hitting them away.
