Y/n's POV
~~~~~~~~~
It was dark, very dark. The only light source being the small amount of glowing crystals on the cave's ceiling. My legs pressed against my chest, they were soaked in tears and sweat. Maybe some blood too. The only sound I heard was the rushing waterfall I was hiding behind. I picked up the small, purple, torn fabric I had. It used to belong to Toriel... but now shes dead. I choke up at the thought and fought to hold back tears. She didn't deserve this... to be brutally murdered, in front of her child. Of course, they didn't know I saw the whole thing, as soon as that... THING left, I bolted to a secret cavern behind a waterfall in, well, waterfall. It's been days, or at least it feels like it, the only food I have left is a piece of butterscotch cinnamon pie, but I refuse to eat it. It was the last thing she baked me. I sniffed and wiped my nose with my sleeve. I slowly stood up and grabbed my water bottle, I went over to the entrance where the waterfall was. As the bottle slowly gained more water, the day my mother was killed flashed in my head.
~Flashback~
I woke up on the skeleton brother's couch, at first I was confused but remembered I had stayed the night. I sat up and looked around with groggy eyes, trying to process my surroundings. From the sounds coming from the kitchen, and the smell, I could only guess Papyrus was making spaghetti. Sans slowly walked down the stairs, he looked... depressed about something. Before I could ask him about it, he was gone out the door. 'Strange' I thought to myself, however I didn't dwell on it. My stomach growled with un-resting hunger, hopefully Papyrus would be done soon. I grabbed my phone from my backpack and checked my notifications, I checked my text from Goat Mom aka Toriel. "My child, are you awake yet?" It read, I quickly replied saying I was. "Will you come home soon? I just made butterscotch cinnamon pie." Sorry Papyrus, spaghettis gonna have to wait. "You had me at butterscotch." I replied with a smile on my face. I put my phone back into my backpack and rested it onto my shoulders, luckily I packed light. I got up from the couch and headed to the kitchen. "Sorry Papyrus, Toriel just made some pie and I don't want it to go to waste. I'll have to eat your spaghetti another time." I said, hoping he wouldn't be mad. "THAT IS QUITE ALRIGHT HUMAN! I'LL SAVE YOU A PLATE FOR WHEN YOU COME BACK!" He replied, turning his head towards you to give you a smile. I smiled back and headed out the door into the icy cold of Snowdin town.
I reached the Ruin's door and knocked 3 times, it slowly opened to reveal... Sans? "Hey kid." He greeted with a weird smile. "Sans what are you doing here?" I asked, tilting my head to one side. "Tori invited me too." He answered bluntly. "Oh, alright." I said while walking into the warm hallway. We both walked up the stairs and was hit with a strong smell of butterscotch cinnamon pie. My stomach growled louder which made Sans chuckle. We walked into the living room where Frisk and Toriel waited for us. (You fell shortly after Frisk because you went looking for them after news of them going missing spread) We sat down and began to eat, Sans was being quiet though, it was extremely out of character for him. He hasn't even said a single pun! After we each had a piece I put a slice into a plastic bag that I was going to give to Papyrus. Surprisingly he eats things other than spaghetti.
I went to my room to grab my sketchbook, I loved to draw but I didn't think I was that good. Everyone else strongly disagreed but I think they're just being nice. After finding it I walked out of my room and saw no one was at the table. Huh, that's weird. I walked down to the basement, thinking they were saying bye to Sans. I saw Sans standing in front of Toriel, no sign of Frisk however. I was about to head towards them but then I saw a shiny thing in Sans' pocket, I stood behind a wall curious about what was going to happen. Maybe he had a necklace or some other jewelry for her? He was sweating heavily, and when he spoke he had a stutter. He pulled the shiny thing out of his pocket and you realized it wasn't a piece of jewelry...
