-3 days later-

~Y/n's POV~

He's still not back.

Nobody was talking about it, but we were all thinking it. Ink had said he'd be back soon, but I don't think he meant he'd take days.

I was pacing our room, clutching onto a spare scarf he owned. I was wringing it in my hands nervously, unwelcome thoughts springing into my head.

What if he got hurt? What if he got captured? What if he's dead and we don't know? What if-

The door opened and Dream walked in. Thankfully, that quieted my disturbing thoughts.

"Hey..." He said rather awkwardly. I only just noticed that my face was damp from old tears.

"Hey..." I replied with a slightly hoarse voice. I cleared my throat and stopped my pacing. I could feel the bags under my eyes, for I had not slept at all last night. Everytime I closed my eyes I saw Ink either tied up on the ground or... I'd rather not think about it.

"Have you heard anything about Ink?" I asked, finally voicing my concern. I was still absentmindedly twisting the scarf in my hands. It was soft, and smelled like Ink.

"No... But dinner is downstairs. I haven't seen you eat all day..." At the sound of food, my stomach growled like it had never growled before. It was extremely angry with me.

"Yeah... okay." I wrapped the scarf loosely around my neck and followed him downstairs.

Everyone else had already ate, so I had an excuse not to eat at the large table where we usually all ate meals together. I took the plate of (insert random food of your choosing) and rushed back upstairs, not bothering to look at any of the others.

I sat on the bed and ate like a pig. I finished the meal in at least 5 minutes, which left me with hiccups. At least my stomach had died down on it's growling.

I leaned down on the blanket and stared up at the blank ceiling. Those unpleasant thoughts leaked back into my mind. I internally slapped myself, trying to rid the thoughts. It was unsuccessful.

I grabbed the edges of the scarf that was still around my neck and pulled it up over my face. The smell of Ink overtook me, and I felt just a little calmer. It was almost like he was here right now.

I heard bangs and crashes from downstairs that nearly gave me a heart attack. I pulled the scarf from my face and quickened to get up. I rushed out of the door and went two steps at a time down the steps.

I reached the entrance hall and gasped. Surrounded by a few of the other occupants of the house was Ink, and he was on his knees.

I pushed everyone out of my way and tackled Ink fully on the ground. He clearly wasn't expecting this, and he definitely didn't think that I would kiss him full on the teeth in front of everybody. Which I did.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! YOU HAD ME WORRIED TO DEATH! YOU COULD'VE BEEN DEAD FOR ALL I KNEW! YOU BETTER HAVE A DAMN GOOD EXPLANATION! I MISSED YOU, DAMN IT!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, angry hot tears raced down my face like a waterfall.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's a long story but to put it short, the multiversal teleportation system has been tampered with. I didn't mean to be gone so long." He quickly explained, he was clearly exhausted. I could see the bags under his eyes too, and perhaps he got even less sleep than I did.
