"GET WELL TACOS!" Blueberry yelled while rushing over to place the tray on my lap, unfortunately some tacos fell off the stack at the speed and onto the floor with a crunchy splat.
Blueberry paid no mind and placed the tray on my lap, Dream walked in a little more slowly and cautiously trying to avoid walking on the fallen tacos.
"And get well soup!" Dream added once he successfully managed to get past the splattered food and was standing next to Blue.
"Oh! Thank you so much!" I exclaimed gratefully while peering down at the delicious looking arrangement of food. On Dream's plate there was a small croissant, a slice of toast with butter, scrambled eggs, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
"You're welcome! We knew that you didn't have breakfast or lunch and figured you might be hungry." Dream gave a sunshine bright smile that made me feel warm, like he emitted rays of heat when he smiled.
My stomach confirmed his thought by growling like an upset lion. We laughed a small bit and I took a bite of toast.
"AND IT'S MADE OF MONSTER INGREDIENTS, SO YOU WON'T BE SICK AGAIN WHEN YOU EAT IT!" Blueberry exclaimed excitedly.
Indeed, my stomach gave no resistance. In fact, it wasn't even going to my stomach. As soon as I swallowed the food it turned straight into energy. As I kept eating, I felt better by the second.
I felt my temperature start to drop down to normal and my throat ceased it's never ending burning sensation.
When I raised my head to thank them again, they had left the room. The only skeleton in the room was Ink and he seemed to want to follow them and stay with me at the same time. His head was going back and forth, looking at the doorway and then back to me.
"I'm feeling a lot better now, can I go with you?" I asked hopefully.
He looked uncertain so I grabbed his resting hand and placed it palm-up on my forehead. His eyesockets widened at the normal temperature and I could see the relief shine on his face.
"You're sure you feel fine?" He questioned, retreating his hand from my head and back onto my thigh.
"Yes, I wouldn't lie about that. Besides, you always can tell when I'm lying."
"Heh, you're right. Come on then, don't want to keep them waiting."
I beamed and placed the tray onto the nearby bedside table. Ink sat up first, and helped me to my feet since I hadn't used them all day.
He didn't let go of my hand, though. He lead me down the stairs into the entrance hall and then took a left towards the living room. I could already hear voices inside before the door swung open, all of them indecipherable.
When the door did swing open and Ink and I walked in, it all went quiet. A few unfamiliar faces were in the room, but I did recognize most.
Only one caught my attention, a humungous skeleton who was at least 2 feet taller than me. He had a large crack on the left side of his head and his eye sockets were empty of anything but pure darkness. His shoulders extended outwards to form sharp edges pointing out. His ribcage was in full view, several cracks were adorned on them as well. The only thing keeping him from being completely naked was a loose pair of black shorts with two white lines on each side.
Suddenly, someone was charging at me at full speed. Before I could react, I was tackled to the floor and being choked by deathly tight bony hands.
The person who was trying to kill me was someone I recognized but had never met before. His purple suit and tie gave it away. This was mafia Sans and Ink warned me something like this would happen.
