Speaking of Ink, he was desperately trying to pull Mafia off of me. Several others joined in while shouting indecipherable things at him. My ears were ringing and white blotches were appearing in my vision.
"SHE'S NOT YOUR AU'S Y/N, MAFIA!" A booming voice shouted at the purple clad skeleton. It was the only thing he seemed to of truly listened to, because his grip loosened and I got a large gulp of fresh air.
They finally were able to pull him off of me, and I had a coughing fit from trying to inhale too much air in so little time.
Ink was the one who helped me up off the ground and I felt the back of my head throb in dull pain. The impact of hitting the ground must've caused a bruise to form. I felt a stinging sensation on where Mafia's hands had tried to close my windpipe.
Ink lead me to the couch where he sat me down gently and rounded on Mafia.
"YOU COULD'VE KILLED HER! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW IMPORTANT SHE IS?! HOW IMPORTANT SHE IS TO THE MISSION?! HOW IMPORTANT SHE IS TO ME?!" He bellowed with a rage I've never experienced him in. Mafia clearly had never seen this side of Ink either, he cowered and backed himself into the wall.
"I'm sorry! She... She looks just like that bitch! What did you expect me to do?!" Mafia shouted back with a rage growing inside of him as well.
My eyes darted to the others who were trying to make themselves smaller as they argued. I noticed that Blueberry was having the most trouble coping with the loud noises. He was hiding behind a concerned looking Fell, who was helping to conceal him.
"That's enough!" I yelled while standing up and pulling on Ink's arm to make him back away from the no longer afraid Mafia. They were so close to each other that if they had noses, they would be touching.
"He tried to kill you!" Ink protested, his angry expression now targeted at me.
"He mistook me for somebody else! It was a mistake! I forgive him." I argued back at him with a desperate tone. I tugged even rougher but he refused to budge.
"You forgive so easily! You did it with Error and now Mafia! When will you learn?!" He yanked his arm out of my grasp and both his eyelights had turned into blood red triangles.
"Drink your paint!" I demanded of him, forcing my ugly hot tears to stay behind my eyelids. He was just saying this stuff because he hadn't had his paint in a while... Right?
He grudgingly yanked a random capsule and gulped it down. To my luck, it was the lime green one- That meant remorse. He returned it to his sash and I watched his enraged expression soften into one of deep regret.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to shout at you! I was just... Scared." He grabbed my hand into both of his and gripped it softly but securely.
"It's fine... I understand." I smiled at him, but I didn't understand fully. Why was he scared?
"And I'm sorry, Mafia. I shouldn't of shouted like that. I know it was a mistake." He let go of my hands and turned to the purple skeleton who just grunted in response.
Ink sent an even more sorry look towards him, but didn't say anything more because someone had shouted.
"MY TACOS ARE BURNING!" Blue yelled in horror as the smell of smoke coming from the kitchen entered the room. He bolted to the kitchen to attend to the burnt food.
I sat down on the couch next to a familiar face. G had a pleasant vanilla scent wavering around him, much better than the smell of burning tacos.
Ink sat down next to me and I was only now conscious that the living room had been transformed. The coffee table that had been resting in front of the couch was now replaced by a giant, circular, and short wooden table. It had several things strewn across it, from dirty plates to a spiked black and gold collar.
