"It's cut in half though..." Dream stated his observations.
"The other part must be in me..." I looked down to my chest, ashamed that such a thing existed inside of me.
"Well we just have to get it out, then!" Ink exclaimed happily.
I looked to Error on the ground, he was muttering things under his breath as he looked up at us with irritation.
"Yeah don't mind me, I'll just be here in excruciating pain..." I heard him mutter.
"Let's help Error first." I suggested while bending down to help Error up off the ground.
I couldn't touch his bare bones so I just resorted to pushing his back upwards until he got up.
"Thanks..." He murmured and left the closet in an instant.
I looked to the box that had hit his head, the contents were poured out and sprawled on the floor. They were indeed bricks.
"How'd you do it?" Dream asked curiously as he watched Error storm off.
"Uh..." I didn't want to say, it was rather embarrassing. I only wanted Ink to know, and as if he read my mind Ink spoke.
"We really need to get that tracker out of her ASAP, she'll explain later. Come on, Y/n." He grabbed my hand and ushered me out of the room leaving behind a slightly confused Dream.
"Thank you..." I said gratefully as he lead me up the grand staircase. He only nodded and hummed as a way of saying 'You're welcome'.
"You'll need to tell me though... I can't really do it without knowing." He lead me into our bedroom, and shut the door behind us.
"Uh, all you have to do is reach into my soul and pull it out when you feel it." I explained.
"And Error needed you to do it?" He asked suspiciously.
"He said that he tried it himself but it didn't work and he needed me to do it for him."
"Ah, that makes sense. I bet Nightmare intentionally made it so the carrier of the tracker couldn't get it out so he could always keep an eye on them even when they turned on him." He sat me down on the bed and then looked around for something.
"What are you looking for?" I questioned curiously.
"Something for you to bite down on..." He answered like it was the most normal thing to be searching for.
"Me touching your soul would cause you to feel... very interesting and you may shout out like Error did. I know you wouldn't want that so- ah!" While he was searching the beside side cabinet he found what he was looking for. It was a long piece of cloth that had clearly never seen wear, it was still pearly white.
"What was that doing in there?" I wasn't sure if I wanted to know the answer.
"Open up." He deflected the question.
I obeyed a little hesitantly and the cloth was placed in my mouth gingerly. He tied it softly in the back and it was a perfect fit. The fabric tasted sweet like sugar against my tongue.
"Just send out your soul and I'll do the rest. You can hold onto my hand if you want." He extended a hand for me to take, which I did. Why was he acting like I was a kid about to get a doctor's shot?
I sent out my loyal soul and it bobbed up and down in the air, glitching every now and then. I noticed that it seemed to be a bit lighter than before the soul pact and was a little tilted to the right side.
Ink took a deep breath and gently pressed against the surface of the soul, then broke through the 'skin' and entered into it.
The sensation was indescribable.
