"What is it? Does it have to do with Nightmare?" Ink asked, returning to his leadership role quickly.

"Sort of... If we all agree on converting him, I know how." He said, sitting on the couch and looking slightly nervous.

"I still think we should kill him." Error said grumpily, leaning against the wall.

"We'll take a vote. We've all had plenty of time to think of our decision." Dream said, not making eye contact with Error. Error scoffed and rolled his eyes, but didn't object.

"Raise your hand if you want to kill Nightmare." Dream addressed the room, his hand firmly on his lap. Only a few hands were raised, the most prominent being Error and Blade. I was hesitant, but kept my hand down.

"Okay, raise your hand if you want to spare or convert Nightmare." Dream rephrased, looking happy that so many didn't want to kill his brother.

I raised my hand along with so many others, including Ink.

"And how do you expect we convert him? You haven't seen the stuff he's done. He can't change." Blade retorted, crossing her arms and glaring at the ones who raised their hands.

"And you haven't seen the other side of him. It's a very long story, but he didn't always act and look like he does now. We used to protect a tree that held apples of different emotions. I protected the positive apples while he protected the negative apples. Everyone seemed to hate him and when I tried to comfort him he just brushed me off..." Dream began, his eyes getting a little watery. He sniffed and continued his story.

"Then, one day, the bullying got worse. He tried to show that he wasn't evil like they thought and tried to show them that he could protect the positive apples... when he touched one all of them turned negative. Everyone turned against him, they were aiming to kill him and he got scared... He... He ate one of the negative apples." Dream's voice was getting shaky as some tears fell down his face. I walked over to him and put an arm around his shoulder in support.

"With every bite he changed... until that thing took over him. He... he killed them all until it was just me and him left. He attacked me, it was a long and hard battle but eventually... he turned me into stone. I don't know why he didn't just shatter me then, maybe there was still a little bit of my brother in there that spared me. But, what he doesn't know is that I kept always kept the seeds of the positive apples. When the stone spell was released I instantly went to plant them. It's taken years but... they're fully grown. I can use the apples to change Nightmare back to how he used to be." Dream finished, pulling out a golden apple from out of no where.

The apple shone with an unidentifiable light, but just looking at it made me feel better. Everyone was staring at it and I knew they must be feeling what I was.

"It will be harder to convert his gang. We can only hope that they'll follow Nightmare's lead." Dream said, putting the apple back where he was storing it. Although I couldn't see it anymore, I could still feel it's aura.

"How are we going to to get him to go to Overtale?" G asked, blowing off some smoke from his cigarette.

"With this." Ink said, pulling out the collar that Blade was wearing when we first met her.

"What's that do again?" Fell questioned, looking like he didn't have a care in the world.

"It's a communication device. We'll go to Overtale, have Blade say that she got ambushed and that's why she was gone for so long, he comes, and we battle." Ink answered, it sounded like he had been repeating this plan to himself countless times so he wouldn't forget.

"When are we going to do this? Shouldn't it be soon? We are 36 chapters in already." Original asked, breaking that fourth wall again. Damn it, Sans. Do you know how much time and effort the creator goes into maintaining that thing? Oh wait, I'm just breaking it more. Oops.
