~I'm just looking at these chapters and cringing. Oof.~
I looked around, seeing that I was in another dream. I could dimly hear people speaking to me about things.
"Don't trust them, they just don't want you to learn of their sins."
"Death is like a journey."
"You don't want to know, trust me. Trust yourself."
"End of the road."
"Percy! Don't do it!"
"Why did you do that?"
"Why would you do this?"
"Why did you hurt him?"
"Why did you?"
"What are you doing?"
"Stop!" I yelled at the swirling voices.
"Don't leave me!"
"Percy, I love you."
"Don't let him take you."
"Where are you going?"
"Are you trying to take him away from Me?"
"WhaT ARe yOU dOiNG?"
"GeT BAcK hERE."
I sprung to life with a scream. Beside me, Luke began to stir some bit. He suddenly jumped up and looked at me.
I squinted in pain as my neck burned a bit, thank god it was almost healed. And thank the gods I didn't loose the ability to walk.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked from the bed. Will and Nico stirred in the other bed, see, we had to sleep in a hotel for a few days while Nico tried to wake up. Today was the last day here, and I had been getting these dreams for the past week.
"Just. . . A dream. . . ," I told him.
"Mm," Nico muttered as he curled into Wills arms.
I turned around and began to snuggle into the white pillow, Luke, however, decided to snuggle into me. His long and strong arms engulfed my whole waist.
I sighed and closed my eyes again, a deep blush on my face.
Oh my god he's so warm.
"What time is it?" I whispered to him.
I felt Luke move a little and look at the clock, "5 am. Jeez, not much reason to go back to bed, Perce."
I opened my eyes and begun to sit up, "I'm going to take a shower."
Luke stared at me for a few seconds with a pout. He just held me tighter.
"Luke. . . ," I mutter.
Luke's grip loosened.
I slipped out of his grasp and walked to the bathroom, I locked the door and began to strip down. I put the white towel out for myself and stepped into the hot shower.
I finished and began to dry myself off. The hot shower finally made me relax, I let out a sigh and threw my head back. I grabbed my blue tooth brush and put some of Luke's toothpaste onto it. What? His breath always smells nice.
I glanced up to the mirror. Then took another glance. It was mostly fogged up except for one sentence.
A cursed blade, a heroes soul shall reap.
I stared at the words, frozen in fear. Staring at the words, I wasn't in the hotels bathroom anymore. . . I was in a large, white throne room. I nearly fell over from the sudden transportation. This was getting oddly normal for me.
I look around, and then down. Freezing.
No. . .
At my feet was somebody who I didn't want to see bleeding out.
It was Luke. . . And Luke was dead.
Was.
~
I was shaking as I left the bathroom, Luke was standing at the door with a boyish grin on his face, he held out some clothing for me. I smiled at him as best as I could.
"Here, it's one of my pairs. I think we should go out," he chuckled, "We've had to clean our clothes probably a million times by now."
Luke turned me around and took out some medical supplies, he began to apply cow sap and bandages to my neck as I nibbled on a piece of ambrosia.
"And we need supplies before we set up a camp," Will told us.
"Look for recruitments," Nico added. He sighed, annoyed, "two weeks and you guys didn't even think of shopping?"
"Hey, Percy passed out too. Will and I were worried," he excused, "Well, sort of passed out. He was more over drained."
I got an idea.
"Should we go to one of Apollos temples to see if there's anyone who wants to join?" I suggested, making an attempt to be somewhat usefull.
"Not just anyone can join. We should make sure they're a good judge of character," Luke replied, "Go on and put on those clothes."
I put on the clothes in the bathroom, soon, both Luke and I went shopping while Nico and Will went to a temple nearby.
I looked around the place, the place was called a supermarket. I think I knew what that meant. . .
"Luke?" I asked.
He immediately turned around and have me a smile. I stared at him for a few seconds, thinking back to my memory about him. Slowly, I was beginning to remember somewhat of what has happened.
"What's wrong?" He asked me, putting his hand on my shoulder. His features has now melted into concern.
"Hum? Oh, nothing really. . . I was just wondering what we needed to get," I quickly said to him.
"Are you sure? You have seemed. . . Out of it sense you got out of the shower," he stated, he looked me up and down and bit his lip a little, "are you okay?"
I let out a small chuckle and looked away from him, "Yeah."
"Percy," he breathed, "It's. . . Fine if you don't want to tell me. . . I just. . . Need to know if something happened."
I glanced at him, he stared at me with this look of worry. His eyes were pleading at me to just talk to him, and even then, he hadn't used his ability to take advantage of me.
"Okay, but you have to promise me, swear it on the Styx, that you will tell me what it means," I ordered him.
He sighed and said, "I swear on the Styx."
I hesitated, "I. . . I saw you dead."
Luke froze for a few seconds, then, he finally answered, "I was dead for a while. . . But. . . My father. . . Oh jeez, this is hard to explain. . . My father stole my soul with the help of Apollo and your father."
What? I stared at my hands and then to his, I poked him, "What did Hades do!"
Luke chuckled, "He fought with them for a few weeks. He ended up laying off when my father brought up one of his kids, Hazel."
I. . . Recognized her name. I furrowed my eyebrows, yes, we were friends. Good ones at that.
I stared at my hands, then poked Luke again. He stared at me for a few seconds then let out a joyous bellow.
I smiled, he had a nice laugh.
I knew that I should of been surprised, but honestly, at this point, I couldn't seem to be too freaked out. With all of the things that were happening, I was just glad that I even had Luke to hang on.
