Not So Different |Aren Kuboyasu x Reader|

It's been a couple months and first semester had ended. A lot had happened. Class 3 had gotten more students and Saiki was really annoyed. Then (Y/N) had accidentally burned the base down and had to leave Sebastian and the others a small note explaining what had happened. She was trying to cook something for once but failed miserably. So she looked for available and affordable houses for her and Ryuu. Luckily there was one right next to Saiki's (not Yuuta's the one to the left of the Saiki residence). Saiki didn't seem to mind seeing as how you were the least annoying person he encountered and you didn't go out of your way to hang out with him or bug him. Although his parents had taken a liking to both you and Ryuu as you introduced yourselves and would ask you to visit from time to time. This still didn't bother Saiki since you actually asked him if he was okay with you visiting. It was nicer than barging in unannounced.

Today was Christmas (*cough* not really...) and you and Ryuu were invited to a little Christmas dinner at the Saikis'. You were bringing baked goods as you promised. Ryuu had banned you from ever cooking again, but trusted your baking skill although he made sure you would only use the kitchen for baking purposes. He didn't want a repeat of last time...all you had to do was boil a damn egg...

"Ryuu! Get your ass down here!!" You hollered as you stood by the door with baked goods and treats in your arms, making you unable to open it yourself.

"Ah, coming!" He hurriedly ran down the stairs, pulling a sweater over his head.

You both had (f/c) sweaters on to match each other. You wore black leggings and boots to match. Seeing as you were close neighbors there was no need for coats. You brought your (h/l) (h/c) hair down for once and your glasses hung onto the collar of your sweater. Saiki's parents have seen you in both school and outside of school attire so it was fine.

"Ready?" You asked Ryuu.

"Ready as I'll ever be~" He sang.

You rolled your eyes playfully. He opened the door for you and then locked it. He opened the gate for you as well. Before he could buzz the Saiki residence you heard Saiki Kusuo's voice.

'People from school have invaded the place. Help me.'

You couldn't help but giggle to yourself as you placed your glasses one. Ryuu finally buzzed and Kumuri greeted us with her angelic smile.

"(N/n)-chan! Ryuu-kun! I'm glad you made it!" She exclaimed.

"Kumuri-san! Thank you for inviting us!" You smiled while you entered with Ryuu by your side.

You saw everyone else and wanted to say hi but most of them were all snickering at you. Kaidou pointed upwards and you looked up.

Oh, a mistletoe.

You and Ryuu looked at each before nodding. You each took a step closer and Kaidou and Nendou and Teruhashi (but it was more of internally) were on the edge of their seats.

You and Ryuu fist bumped each other as planned and walked into the house like no big deal.

"That's not how it works!" Kaidou exclaimed.

"Calm down Kaidou-kun, everyone has different ways of showing affection." Hairo reasoned.

"No! You're supposed t-t-to...y-y'know k-k-kiss! Or hug at least!" He blushed.

"But my arms are full..." I frowned.

"Then put it down and redo it!" He said determinedly.

"Yeah little guy is right, that was hardly any fun to watch."

I placed the sweets down in and Saiki immediately opened one of the containers. The smell of freshly baked cookies brought everyone's attention for a brief moment before Kaidou started pegging you again to redo the whole mistletoe thing.

No one's POV

(Y/N) groaned and marched back under the mistletoe along with Ryuu. She gazed right into Ryuu's eyes. Which might have made a person uncomfortable?

"Bro." She said in a soft affectionate voice.

"Bro." Ryuu replied affectionately.

Then they both hugged and patted each other on the back loudly and went to the others.

"Happy?" She asked Kaidou.

"A working progress but it was fine."

"Meh, it was still boring." Nendou stated.

Saiki however stayed silent as he measured (Y/N)'s likability towards everyone.

(Y/N)'s and Ryuu's likability for each other: 237 (only friendship power)

(Y/N)'s likability for Saiki: 107 (friendship only)

(Y/N)'s likability for Kuboyasu: 235 (more than friends)

(Y/N)'s likability for Nendou: 79 (friendship)

(Y/N)'s likability for Kaidou: dropped to 72 (friendship)

(Y/N)'s for Teruhashi: 64 (meh. it's getting there)

Hmm...he half expected Kuboyasu to be in the lead, but you can't beat friendship he guessed. He then looked at everyone's likability towards (Y/N).
