(Y/N)'s POV - During Lunch
Today Class 3 got a new student. Saiki had warned me to stay away from him since he was trying to gain proof Saiki was a psychic.
'How does he know?!'
'He was getting bullied and I decided to help him. Now hurry up to the cafeteria Kuboyasu and Kaidou are talking to him.'
I sped walk to the cafeteria with my bento and saw Aren and Kaidou talking to the new kid. Well the talking was mostly one sided. Ryuu was on the rooftop at the moment since he didn't like crowded places like the Cafeteria too much. So now you were left with Saiki. You sat next to him as you eavesdropped on the new guy.
'Geez, he talks too much...what's his name?'
'Akechi Touma. I didn't recognize him earlier since he used to be Asumi Touma. We went to the same elementary school before I transferred due to...unfortunate circumstances.'
'Hmmm...I see. Should I be worried about him?'
'Perhaps. He just figured out about how Kuboyasu used to be in a gang with just a couple observations.'
'Okay, got it.'
"Kusuo is actually a psychic."
I almost choked on my food upon hearing those words, but kept my facade of cool. Rather than freaking out Saiki turned around with a confused look on his face.
Akechi laughed.
"That's the same face you made all those years ago."
He turned his attention to me.
"Hey, did you know Kusuo is psychic? I witnessed it myself when we were in elementary- we went to the same school of course- eber since second grade in fact- he healed me after I got bullied- they were a nasty bunch honestly- though they learned not to mess with me- I just peed myself and they kept their distance- but that's not the point- but not to worry I've gotten rid of that habit- and..."
He continued to talk but I managed to listen to every word until Aren and Kaidou told him to stop.
"Ah right! What I wanted to ask was-"
Then the bell rang indicating the end of lunch. I had barely eaten much, but I could probably manage.
"Ah, I guess I'll talk to you later...?"
"The name's (Y/N)."
"Akechi Touma." He simply replied as we shook hands.
'He seems nice'
'You should still worry.'
'Honey, I worry every day!'
'...are you...okay?'
'Nope! Never! Hahahaha....'
-
I went to class and the day went by normally, well for me at least. Class 3 was way too er...interesting to be normal (sadly for Saiki). It was probably Satou's effect on the class as Kusuo once put it. Speaking of which it's been awhile since I last talked to him. Once the final bell rang I approached Satou's desk as he packed up.
"Hey Satou-kun! It's been awhile."
He smiled at me.
"Hey (L/n)-chan, it has, hasn't it?"
Then we proceeded to have a normal conversation until he had to go.
"Alright, good luck on your baseball practice." I waved goodbye.
"Thanks! Good luck on your tennis match!" He waved back.
I smiled and waved until he was out the door before realizing...
...wait what tennis match?!
-
So apparently there's going to be a tennis match next week. Hairo was really giving his all at practice today which was a little frightening. He was doing push-ups at an intense speed. Everyone else joined him yelling in sheer determination while I just practiced with the tennis ball launcher. Ryuu was just watching the practice from the other side of the fence.
"Keep it up (Y/N)!" He cheered.
"Go home already!" The yelled back while serving a ball to towards the fence in front of him.
-
After tennis practice I got dressed into some normal clothing and went home. Ryuu had left about 30 minutes ago and Hairo was...still practicing well now he was doing it ups while everyone else lied motionless on the ground. So I was left to fend for myself to walk home until I got a little tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Akechi.
"Ah, Akechi-kun. Why haven't you gone home yet?" I asked.
"Well I was going to until I realized I still wanted to talk to you. Then you had practice- I still wanted to continue our conversation from the cafeteria- speaking of which I realized you were sitting next to Kusuo- he never really sits next to anyone- meaning you two must have some sort of friendship- a close one at that if he let's you sit next to you- though you guys didn't seem to talk much- perhaps maybe you two are that close- no you guys would at least eye contact-"
This continued on and on but you kept listening any way as you walked. Until he finally stopped...kinda...well he tried.
"Oh! I've been talking too much- sorry (L/n)-san. I have quite the habit of talking nonstop and repetitively- annoys my fellow classmates- Ah, but it seems you're still listening- that's a first! Oh, right! Where was I? Ah! I wanted to know if you knew anything about Kusuo and his secrets- like him being psychic- no one believes me, but I swear he is! I even witnessed-"
No it didn't stop and we were just looping around the neighborhood now. I passed my house twice already but I didn't want to be rude.
"Hey you know we've been going in circles right? Am I perhaps preventing from going home- I'm sorry I probably am-"
"Ah, no it's fine, why don't we go to the park and talk there?" I finally interrupted.
"Ah, yes the park would be great- did you know that I-"
I took that as a yes and we both started walking to the park while he kept talking nonstop. Hopefully Ryuu doesn't worry about me.
