Sleeping was rough. Marlena's cries didn't let anyone sleep. I shuffled over in my sleeping bag and saw Tom standing near Hannah. He was on watchdog duty.
Marlena and Cody was on the side of me in their sleeping bags. I stood up and walked over to Tom.
" you need sleep Tom." I said quietly. He shook his head.
"Tom, you need sleep. I'll watch." I said loudly.
"Ivy, I got this. You go sleep." He said.
"No go...please." I hugged him.
"Fine... Here." He gave me his gun and kissed my cheek. Marlena sniffled.
I walked around and nothing seemed out of place.
Marlena seemed to fall asleep some point in the night. Everything was silent... Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I raced around and saw Cody.
"Cody! What are you doing you almost gave me a heart attack!" He smirked and I shoved him.
"I... I just needed someone to talk to." He whispered. I nodded and he sighed.
"Yeah what's up?" I asked him.
"Ok so... Um well when we killed off the herd where Matt...died, some walker blood went into my mouth..." He seemed worried.
"No it's probably ok, you spit it out right?" He nodded.
I nodded back.
"Ok thanks." And he waddled over to his sleeping bag.
Morning seemed to take forever and Everyone started waking up.
When Alex and Hannah woke up they both hugged each other and Marlena watched them with tears in her eyes. I hugged Marlena and she cried on my shoulder.
Cody was watching us from a distance and Tom was packing.
"Ok guys, I think we all need to find another group." Alex said.
We all nodded.
We ran out of food, gas, no shelter, and where running low on amo. So we all traveled east to a city.
A couple hours later we reached the city. Walkers where everywhere and we slowly snuck around.
We where creeping past a gas station, we saw cars driving by. Tom and Alex went in the middle of the road to get their attention. All of them stopped and checked us for weapons. It turned out to be a camp, a large camp.
The camp was full of 23 men, 18 woman, 6 girls, 25 boys, and 8 small babies.
We all climbed on a bus with All of the girls and guys.
The girls where young and the guys seemed to range in ages between 13-17. The girl where in the front while the guys sat in the middle and we where in the back.
All of the boys stared at us and Tom held me close. Hannah and Alex where hugging and Marlena and Cody sat there like old buddies with nothing to say. An hour passed and we reached a large camp. We all got off of bus and sat around watching the adults work on little things and we soon found our tents. It turns out there was no boy girl rule so we all shared a tent. And at the end of the day the entire camp had a bonfire for dinner. We all sat on a log and ate frog legs. Tom got up and went to go to the bathroom and a small group sat down near me mocking me.
"Yo girl, where you from?"
"Damn baby you lookin fineee."
"How's it goin beautiful."
I flipped them off and Tom trotted back. The group of guys migrated to Marlena, and Cody was there to protect her. Tom snorted and hugged me.
"Maybe next time you'll come with me." He laughed and I nodded, smiling.
I looked over at Hannah and Alex who looked scared out of their minds.
"Guys, you ok?" I ask them.
"I don't like those guys trying to steal my women." Alex said and Hannah giggled.
"No one can make me stay away from you." Hannah said. They both kissed and I felt happy for them.
I looked back over to Marlena who was talking to a guy.
"WOOO! Go Marlena!" I thought.
Then I saw Cody talking to a guy.
Yeah.... It was true.... Cody IS gay.
At the end of the night Cody and the guy hugged and so did Marlena and the other dude.
We all went into the tent and everyone found a cot. I felt like I REALLY needed to use the bathroom and stood up.
"Ivy where are you going?" Tom asked.
"Go use the bathroom." I said shrugging.
"Ok I'm gonna come with you. I don't like those guys." Tom said.
"Me either." Alex said threw a wool blanket.
We both laughed and headed out the door.
The bonfire was being put out when we herd voices behind us.
"Well well well, the fair maiden returns." We both spun around to see the group of guys.
I felt Toms hand lace threw my fingers and my heart pounded.
"Just leave us alone." Said Tom threw clenched teeth.
"Woah woah woah! Hold on there partner! Just give us the girl and you can leave right now." Said a tall boy.
"No." Said Tom.
"Ok then, boys." The tall boy said.
A boy jumped out infrount of Tom and punched him. Tom punched back and the whole gang of boys jumped onto Tom. At least I thought was the while gang.
Unknown hands gripped my sides and pulled me threw heavy bushes.
"STOP!" I screamed as I felt their hands around me.
The boys pinned me down.
"ALEX! CODY!!! HAN-" a boy placed his hand over my mouth.
I herd screaming and my name being called over and over again.
Then Toms name.
A boys mouth pressed against mine but I kept my mouth shut. A hand sneaked up into my jean leg. I tried to kick and punch but the boys strength was too powerful.
Another hand went up my shirt. I still wouldn't give up. I threw up into a boys mouth and head butted a boy who was holding me down.
The boy yelped in pain and the bushes pulled back.
It was a man and Cody.
The men chased off the boys and I hugged Cody.
"Did they?"I cut him off
"No no no they didn't do anything." I smiled and squeezed him tighter.
"Wait where is Tom?" I asked letting go suddenly.
"He got beat up pretty bad, but he is gonna be ok." Cody said with a smile.
"Can I see him now?"
"Not now but later."
I sighed and tears sprang in my eyes. Cody dried them.
"It's gonna be ok." And we went to the nurse to see if I was ok too.
