Path was giving Jess a piggyback ride and Hannah was limping.
"Hannah you ok?" I asked her.
"Uh yeah, just twisted my ankle, I'm good." Tyson sighed.
"We need meds, like now." Tyson said.
"I know,... Jev when are we stopping?" I asked.
Jev sighed.
"Until we see the ocean." He kept walking.
"Ugh Ivy take this kid or else my shoulders are gonna collapse!" Patch whinnied. I herd Jess giggle and hopped off him.
"Come here." I said patting my back.
"Nah I'll walk!" He said bravely.
I nodded and felt Patches arms wrap around me.
I herd Lily giggle and turned around.
Her and Jev where making out.
"Uh guys.."Jev said between breaths.
"Yeah?" We all answered.
"We camp.... Here tonight." Lily giggled.
"Thought you said we'd stop at the ocean." Patch said.
He and Lily stopped kissing.
"Then you kids go on ahead, we will catch up with you." Jev said grabbing Lilys waist.
"Ugh GAG!" Hannah stuck out her tounge.
They disappeared in to the brush and we all walked alittle faster.
"Ivy, why did they want to stop?" Jess asked me. I flashed a glance at Patch who almost burst out laughing.
"They are.... Playing?" I shrugged and Jess bought it.
We walked for another hour and decided to settle down by a fallen tree.
Patch started a fire and I walked around looking for walkers.
I killed one but I saw no others.
As I traveled back to the group I found another. It was stumbling and growling.
A sign was roped around its neck.
"Give me Mercy." It said, painted in blood.
I looked it in the eyes and it stopped.
I reached for my sword and it copied me.
"What the.." I whispered.
I patted my head. It copied.
I stretched my arms out. It copied.
"Patch!" I yelled.
The walker became startled and lunged at me.
"IVY!" Patch yelled.
I tried to push it away with my hands.
It's teeth sunk into my arm and a hot tingly feeling raced through it.
I herd a gun shot and the wallet fell.
I looked at my arm.
A huge bite mark sliced my arm open and blood was oozing out.
"Ivy!" Patch yelled.
I felt his arms around me.
"No...." He hugged me tighter.
I herd footsteps run toward me and everything blurred together.
"Ivy......no!" Each voice said.
I felt humming in my ears.
All of a sudden my vision snapped back, sharper than before, my veins throbbed with life, the low hum in my ears was replaced with sharp hearing.
My mind felt different, but I couldn't explain the feeling.
I looked around.
Patch, Hannah, Tyson, and Jess crowed over at me.
"Ivy?" Jess whimpered.
"Jess?" I whispered and he hugged me.
Everyone looked shocked.
"What the hell just happened?!" Hannah said squeezing my shoulders.
"I got but and-" I looked at my arm. The bite mark was beyond noticeable and a large chunk of skin was missing.
The bleeding stopped.
"What the fuck!" Tyson yelled backing up.
"Ivy, don't freak out, but I think something's wrong with you." Patch said staring at my arm wide- eyed.
Foot steps pounded through my head and I could tell it was Lily and Jev.
"Jev and Lily are on their way... Let's go sit in the log." I said quietly.
"How can you tell?" Hannah asked.
"I can hear them, can't you?" Everyone shook their head.
They helped me up and sat me on the fallen log.
Maybe half an hour passed and Jev and Lily found us.
"Guys we herd a gunshot! WHAT HAPPENED!" Jev yelled.
Patch sat on the opposite side of me watching me closely.
"Ivy got bit!" Tyson yelled pacing back and forth.
Lily gasped and Jev did a double take.
"Ivy let me see your arm." Jev said quietly.
I showed him the bit mark and he froze.
"How long ago was it?" Jev looked around.
"About 45 minutes ago."Hannah quickly said.
"She wouldn't turned by 10." Lily said in disabled.
"Ivy, your the cure." Jev said happily.
"Wha?" My eyes widened.
"You are the cure!" Lily chirped.
Patch contined to glare at me.
Jev took Jess from me and Hannah stood away from me, closer to Tyson.
"I'm not a monster." I whispered.
Lily took out her knife.
"We'll see." She sat down next to Patch.
Jev tired me up on a tree. It was for their safety. I didn't mind.
In the morning I woke up feeling great.
And yet, they all seemed to work their way around me.
Patch sat across me, staring at me.
He kept his distance still, but watched every move I made. Another day passed by against the tree and Patch remained.
I herd walkers walking Torwds us and Jev set me free. He wanted to watch what I could do. I walked towards them, and as soon as I saw them I grew afraid. There was 8 of them, and one of me.
When they all saw me the stopped.
I walked up to one and started at it. It grunted and looked back at me.
I sensed fear. The walkers where afraid .... Of.....me....
I felt a strange tug to them and followed their mind pattern.
In this state I could make them do anything I wanted them to do.
"Leave me and my friends alone." I commanded.
And with that, they left.
"What the actual fuck guys?!?" Tyson whimpered.
"She IS the cure!" Lily cheered.
Everyone hugged me and high- fived me.
When I saw Patch he gave me a cold glance and walked away.
"Patch wait!" I ran after him.
"Stop! Please stop!" I begged. But he kept walking.
"Patch.." I whispered.
He stopped.
I ran infront of him and hugged him.
But he didn't hug back.
I felt a small tug from his thoughts and traveled to them.
"Patch talk to me!" I demanded.
He jumped back.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU FREAK!" He screamed and pushed me away.
I fell and hit my knee against a sharp rock and a black liquid ran out of it.
"Your a demon..." He said wide-eyed.
"No I'm not!" I yelled.
And he ran off.
I sent one last message to his thoughts..."You Left me Alone..."
