Lances POV
So it was that bastard all along? I knew something was off about him!
I did my best to comfort Lana as she cried on my shoulder. I shifted a little so I could really hug her. She wrapped her arms around my torso and cried into my chest. Holding her like this... secretly made me happy.
It made me happy because she was In my arms, and I was comforting her. I didn't like the fact that she was upset though, James would pay. I would make sure he would be in prison for life, or worse.
"Let's go eat some food. Dinner is ready, you should get some food in your system."
"But I'm no-
"Too bad. You need to eat." She pulled back and pouted. Her eyes were a brilliant blue again. They must do that when she is crying.
"Fine. Then can we eat in here, like you Aiden and I? And I want wine. Don't forget the wine." I smiled."Whatever you want."
The maids brought our dinner into Lana's room, Aiden was overjoyed. We piled onto the bed and ate as we watched tv. Even when we were done, we stayed put. I could tell Lana didn't want to be alone, I didn't want her to be alone.
Aiden fell asleep snuggled up to Lana, his little blue cast resting on her stomach. I got up to leave but was stopped when I felt a tug on my shirt.
"Can you um... stay? Just for tonight?" To my surprise it was Lana. I smirked, someone had a little too much wine.
"Who can't behave themselves now eh?" She didn't smile. Oh... she's serious. "Um... yeah I can stay. Let me just change real quick. Did you want me to move Aiden so you can change too? Sleeping in jeans and a flannel can't be too comfortable." She nodded.
I carefully picked up Aiden like he was a bomb. She slipped away into the bathroom. I laid Aiden back on the bed and went to my room to change into a t-shirt and sweat pants.
This is going to be one awkward night. The other day she said for me to behave, now looks who's breaking the rules! I couldn't help but laugh. Yet at the same time, I was worried about her.
I went back into Lana's room and Aiden was already snuggled up to her again. I pulled a chair up beside the bed, it was going to be one very uncomfortable night.
"What are you doing?" She whispered.
"I'm sleeping in the chair?" You want me on the floor instead?
"No, just lay here." She patted the bed. I could feel my cheeks getting warm at the thought.
Oh lord how much wine have you had?!
"Um... I don't know about-
"Get in bed you log. Stop arguing, it makes you sound girly."
I do NOT sound girly!
I shook my head and crawled under the covers. Thankfully Aiden was in between us so there was some space.
Aiden is going to go nuts over this in the morning. As long as I get up before they do, I'll be fine. She probably won't even remember it. I'm not going to get any sleep.
