Lilliana's POV
I woke up drenched in sweat. Panicking, I sat up trying to figure out where I was. My heart was pounding out of my chest, I was getting dizzy.
"Miss Eyler please calm down!" Nurses flooded the room, trying to calm me.
"Wh- where am I? What happened? What am I doing here? Why is all of this stuff hooked up to me?" I couldn't get the questions out fast enough. I tried to move but my body hurt all over.
What is going on?
"You are alright. You just woke up from a coma. Do you remember anything that happened?"
"This has to be a dream? Lance... he left and then came back? My wounds... they were all healed. Where is Lance!?"
"He went to go pick up his son. He will be back very soon. I promise you, you aren't dreaming." Lance... never left?
"How long have I been in a coma for? Why did it feel so real?!"
"You've been in a coma for a week. Your dream was probably caused by the trauma you experienced. Do you remember what happened in your dream?" She pulled up a chair and sat next to me.
"I remember it all."
I spent the next ten minutes telling her everything that happened in the dream.
I turned my head at the sound of the door creaking open. Aiden and Lance came into view. I stared at them in disbelief.
"Lana? You're awake! Y-you remember us right?" I smiled at them as a tear trickled down my face.
"How could I not remember you guys?" Aiden ran into my arms.
"Could you give us a minute?" Lance asked the nurse. She got up and quietly left the room. "How are you feeling?"
"I don't even know. I was dreaming a dream that felt so real. I woke up and I thought it was real."
"What happened?" I told him everything while Aiden sat in my lap clinging to me. "Why on EARTH would I leave you? You just had the worst life experience ever and you seriously think I would leave you?" He rubbed my cheek.
"Yeah, it was a bizarre dream." I chuckled to myself. "When can I go home?"
"Soon darling. You just need to finish getting better." I looked down.
"Lance... I don't remember anything from the kidnapping. The last thing I remember is me throwing up on the side of the road." I looked back up at him.
"It's a good thing you don't remember. By the looks of it, it was a nasty attack. Do you remember who did it?" I tried to think, but I was all blank.
"No. I really don't. Did they get away?"
"About that... you kind of killed him in self defense." I stared at him in horror.
"Geesh. How did I make it out?"
"I got you out of there. You were unconscious. You died Lana. When they were operating on you, you died. I thought I had lost you." His hands were shaking. I held them.
"I'm hard to kill."

1 year laterAfter waking up from my coma, I realized a lot of things. One of them being that the only think I really have left of my parents... is the house. I didn't plan on selling it, so I convinced Lance to stay there with me until I was in the clear. Once again, I couldn't be left alone.
