I woke up to Aiden poking my cheek over and over. It had become a habit of his. Most nights he would sneak into my room and sleep with me.
"Lily! Can we go do something today? Just you and I? Daddy's at work and I'm bored." Aiden pouted. He was getting much better at convincing people.
"Sure. I needed to go into town soon anyways. You like shopping right?" He scrunched his nose in disgust.
"Shopping is for girls. I am most definitely NOT a girl. I want to have lunch or go to the park." I laughed.
"What if we buy your daddy a present? I need help deciding." He smiled at the thought.
"Okay, we can go shopping for that." Lance and I had finally told Aiden that we were dating. I never heard a child scream so loud in my life.
I got dressed and we headed to a little boutique. It was supposed to have all kinds of things, I was hoping to find something unique for Lance. It was a quaint little shop, tucked away in the corner of a bunch of other buildings.
It had a pleasant aroma, it smelled like pine and wildflowers. It reminded me of the country almost.
Oh how I missthe country.
I hardly went to my place anymore. I mainly went to make sure everything was still there. The mansion wasn't in the country, but it wasn't in the city. It was somewhere in between the two.
"Look Lily!" Aiden was holding a old tin box.
"I wonder how old It is?"
"Um, it says 1947."
"Wow!" He grabbed my hand and drug me over to the jewelry case. There were rings, watches, earrings, even cuff links. My eye caught a specific ring, it was stunning.

"Watcha looking at?" Aiden was staring at me. I quickly pointed to a random watch, trying to avoid the fact that I was looking at an engagement ring.
"This watch. What do you think?" I looked at it and realized, I picked the ugliest watch there. I instantly regretted It. He raised his eyebrows at me.
"That is the ugliest watch I have ever laid my eyes upon. No. It looks... blargh!" I snickered.
"Well okay then, let's go look over here." I pointed to an antique shelf with all kinds of trinkets on It.
"I want to keep looking."
"Okay, but don't wander off. Stay where I can see you."
"Okay."
Aidens POV
I waited until she was out of earshot before speaking to the woman behind the counter.
