It was finally Friday, the day you longly waited for. You were so excited to take the sling off your arm, you were finally going to be back to normal and not have to deal with Pansy and Daphne babying you anymore. You quickly showered and changed eagerly as you basically ran to Madam Pomfrey.
"Miss L/n you're here rather early." She smiled knowing why you were there at 6 am. "Well Madam Pomfrey you can say I am excited to finally use both my arms." You made your way to an empty bed, sat down and she began to take off the sling, to examine your arm. She pressed on your arm looking for any sign of pain, there was pain, but none that you couldn't manage. She looked over the stitches on your arm and pressed lightly as you winced. "Well it looks like the bone has recovered, so you will not be needing the sling, but the stitches still hurt, so I will have to wrap the area, but you should be back to normal. Just no physical activity for a few days until the stitches are healed." You nodded as she began to cover the stitches. You put your robe back on and quickly thanked her before going into the Great Hall.
Seeing your friends at the Slytherin table you made you way towards them. "Hey guys notice anything different?" You said as you dramatically moved your arm from your hip to your forehead, like you were striking a pose. "There she is!" Pansy said hyping you up. It was strange you acted this way, but you were way to excited to care. Pansy, Daphne, Blaise, and Draco looked at you and smiled with some "woo's" and whistles. You sat down next to Pansy and Daphne across the boys, "I still need to be a bit careful since my stitches aren't healed, but I can finally use my arm!" You smiled. You grabbed some pancakes and syrup with your newly recovered arm, "See!" You raised an eyebrow and earned laughs from everyone. You began to eat as everyone began to talk about Hogsmeade. You had completely forgotten about that trip, you finally had something to look forward to tomorrow.
Classes had finally passed and you were exhausted. You couldn't wait to get into your bed and sleep. But before you could sleep you remembered to write to your mom. You sat on a bench in the courtyard and began to write on the parchment paper.
Dear Mother,
I am going to Hogsmeade tomorrow with friends. I guess you can say I've made some closer friends this week? I'm happy I feel like I'm getting out of my bubble. Anyways, my sling is finally off and my arm is now recovered, I just need to be careful with my stitches! School is going great as well! I'll owl you again next week to update you if anything happens. Say hi to dad for me, love you!

You made your way into the Owlery and looked for Screech. "Hey buddy." You grabbed some treats from the compartment in the tower and gave one to him. "Give this to Mother please." You said rolling the letter, giving it to him and he left. You walked back down to the dungeons and into your dorm room and changed into a pair of sweatpants and a lose t-shirt. You laid on the bed and sighed, closing your eyes.
The Next Morning
You woke up to the sun hitting your eyes, you yawned as you rubbed your eyes and got up. 8 am the clock read, you slipped into your slippers and made your way into the bathroom. You were looking forward for today, you craved sweets. You went back to your bed and changed into some leggings, a long sleeve, and an oversized crewneck. You casted a spell to dry your hair and put it up into a cute messy bun. You put on your boots and waiting for the girls to wake up.
You went into the common room, grabbing your book and waited on the couch. A couple minutes passed by and you saw Draco walking down the stairs in a causal outfit, he made his way to the couch you were sitting on and sat next to you. "Are you reading the muggle book?" He asked and you nodded showing him the cover. "How's your arm?" He asked trying to keep a conversation with you. "It's alright the stitches look disgusting, you wanna see?" You asked him and he nodded. You pulled your sleeves up and showed him the stitches. He took your wrist and looked at them, "Gross huh?" You said and he laughed. "Do they still hurt?" He asked as a finger went over the stitches. You looked at his finger touching the stitches, "Not really, they only hurt when I apply pressure to them, but the pain is going away." You pulled your arm back and rolled the sleeve down. "I'm so sorry Y/n–" You cut him off, "Draco I already told you I'm okay and I've forgiven you, let's drop it okay?" You looked at his eyes and he nodded. You smiled as you began to open your book again, but closed it once you heard everyone else coming down the stairs.
"Good morning everyone!" Pansy sang as she went towards you. "Morning Pans." You smiles at her and got up. "Are you all ready to head out?" She asked and everyone said yes and some nodded. All of you left the dungeon and headed towards the road that led to Hogsmeade. You, Pansy, and Daphne linked arms as you walked with each other talking about which shop to head to first. "Can we please go to Honeydukes first I really want some candy." You told them and they nodded "Hondydukes it is!" Pansy sang as she ran, causing you and Daphne to almost fall.

You laughed as you arrived to the front of Honeydukes. You couldn't wait to get your favorite kind of chocolate. You went towards the huge wall of chocolates and looked over trying to find some dark chocolate. There were many options, some with almond, some with caramel. You decide to get one of each, it wouldn't hurt to try something new? You made your way to the front to pay.
Draco went to the cashier as well and dropped some of his candy at the counter, "Charge hers too, will you?" He told the man in the cash register. "Wait Draco it's fine, I can pay for myself." He shook his head, "It's the least I can do, c'mon let me do this please." He pleaded and you nodded. I mean you did break a bone for him, so you didn't mind that he paid. The man gave you the bag with your chocolate and you thanked him as you left the store with Draco. "Thank you by the way, I appreciate it." You told him and he smiled. "Again it's the least I can do." You chuckled as you met with everyone else going into practically every store.
The whole day was perfect, not only did you spend time with your best friends, but you also had gotten closer with Blaise and Draco. It made you happy that you had new friends. You were so proud of yourself for slowly coming out of your bubble and talking to them. You would have never thought you'd be hanging out with them, but you were glad you did– it made you happy you were slowly becoming more confident.
