Y/n had tried many times to write to Pansy, but she got no response back. She figured the trio had informed her she was Voldemort's child. She hated feeling like this, like she was betraying her friends.

Pansy,

I am so sorry I couldn't tell you. Believe me I did want to, I just didn't know how. I know you are disappointed because we tell each other everything, but if I told any of you – he would have hurt you. Please know I am not like him. I'm sorry.

Y/n

She sent her owl to give the letter to Pansy. She figured Pansy was at Hogwarts, since death eaters ruined the burrow. They burned the Weasley's home because Harry was staying with them. Y/n wanted to be able to apperate there and save them.

Death eaters were still in search of the trio. Bellatrix was now being searched for to be put back into Azkaban. The Ministry had even offered a reward to turn her in, but no one dared too. Everyone was afraid of what Voldemort might have done.

With Voldemort still gone, Y/n was able to look into horcrux's more. When everyone had left to go to Diagon Alley, which was already destroyed. She went into the library for more research.

I have to find a way to destroy the horcrux, but be able to keep myself alive.

The book her stepfather had given her only had so much about horcrux's. The Malfoy's library had little to nothing about them, which made her reasearch a bit more difficult.

I have to go to the library in Knockturn Alley.

Y/n remembered a small old book store the day Draco received his dark mark. She remembered the creepy old woman standing by her window. She was sure she had books about dark magic. Her only issue now was going there without being seen by Narcissa and Draco.

She went into her room grabbing a black coat, she got a handful of floo powder, "Knockturn Alley!" Within seconds the green flame appeared in a dark alley. She got up cleaning the dust of her coat. It took her a second to see where she was, but when she realized she quickly walked towards the small book store with her hood on.

Keeping an eye out for anyone that could have known her she quickly entered the book store. The shelves were covered in dust and spider webs, but Y/n didn't mind. The old witch got up from her chair, "What do you need child?"

"Do you have books about horcrux's?" She asked her and the witch raised an eyebrow at her. "Why does a young witch like yourself need a book about dark magic?" Y/n grew deeply annoyed all she wanted as that damn book. "Do you have any or not?" She sighed with an annoyed tone. The old witch walked towards the back of the store gathering 3 books. "These are all I have." She set them on a table and Y/n nodded.

She looked over each book, one she already had. The other two she had never seen before, "I'll take these two, how much?" The old witch looked at the books and back at Y/n. She knew she had money, "60 gallons." Y/n rolled her eyes at the absurd price, but nonetheless she reached into her pouch giving her the money. She left the store looking to her sides making sure she was not seen.

From afar she heard three voices she knew too well. Her curiosity lead her to those voices, but they did not belong to them. These older men and Bellatrix sounded so much like the trio. It wasn't until she heard Ron complain that she knew it was them with a spell.

"Harry?" She asked and the three of them turned around. She walked over to them, "What are you guys doing here, you need to leave before someone sees you or hears you." Ron huffed, "Like who? Your father?" Bellatrix nudged his side making him groan. "Well yes, but I'm not going to tell him. There are many death eaters out here looking for the three of you." The three of them stayed silent for a moment. "Look," Y/n spoke up. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys the truth. I didn't know how. If anyone were to find out he would have killed you all." Bellatrix stepped forward and hugged Y/n, "We understand Y/n." Hermione's voice whispered in her ear. "Harry can I speak to you?" She asked him as they pulled apart. A man she did not recognize stepped forward, they both walked slightly away from Hermione and Ron. "I need some help. I know you'd be the best for this situation."

"Like what?" He asked and Y/n sighed heavily. "Well you know how you're a horcrux?" She asked him and he nodded. "Well I'm one too." She finally confessed and the man's eyes widened. "I'm trying to figure out a way to not become one, but I'm having no luck. I was wondering if you knew anything?" The man frowned slightly, "No I haven't found anything as well. If I find anything I'll let you know." Y/nodded feeling rather defeat. "Thank you, I'll see if I find anything in these." She gestured to the books and he nodded. "I must go, I can't be seen here. Be safe." She told the three of them.

Going back to Malfoy Manor through Floo Network was easy. No one was home yet, which made her continue her research.

Y/n went upstairs into the guest room she had been staying at. She locked the door behind her as she sat on her desk taking out pieces of parchment paper and 2 quills, in case one of them broke. Which usually always happened because when Y/n felt determined to find out answers, she was careless about the pressure she put on her quill.

Alright let's get on with it, she told herself as she grabbed the first book and began to read the first page.

"Horcruxes could only be created after committing murder, the supreme act of evil. The process for the creation of a Horcrux involved a spell and a horrific act is performed soon after the murder has been committed. Given that Horcruxes were precious to those who made them, there were usually protective measures made to prevent them from being stolen or destroyed." Y/n read to herself. She grabbed her quill, what protective measure did he put on me? how do I remove it?

She continued to read, but only found the same thing she had already read. The problem with trying to find new information with horcrux's was it is impossible. Every witch and wizard believed it was the safest thing to do with humanity by not talking about it. Unless Y/n knew someone who did, which she couldn't ask her father because then it would be suspicious.

She opened the other book, but to her luck no new information. "Bloody hell!" She yelled in frustration, not caring if Draco and Narcissa were back from their errands.

"I can't fucking do this! I don't know what to do." She said defeated as she laid her head on the cold desk. No matter how many times she tried to fix her problem, she had no new information. Y/n began to feel hopeless, knowing she couldn't possibly survive.

You can survive. A voice said in her head. It was hers, it was her dark side. Y/n closed her eyes, "Stop it!" I can help you survive. Let me in. "Leave me alone! Fucking stop!" You can win this war by yourself, there will be no need to destroy your horcrux.

Y/n began to cry feeling overwhelmed. Her dark side was in her head again and she was now stronger. This was Y/n's lowest moment, her dark side knew she was vulnerable.

As Y/n began to sob, her dark side took this chance. She began to slowly rise and take over her body. Until she looked at the mirror above her desk. Y/n's eyes were back to filled with darkness, just in time for the battle.
