Both Y/n and Draco had changed a lot, they also had gotten way closer. Draco decided to let his hair grow a little longer, making it fun for Y/n to mess with it. With dark times coming up, they enjoyed being together– as they were both each other's happiness and safe havens.
During the last few weeks, Voldemort had taught his heir everything she should know. He taught Y/n how to become the greatest witch in her time– and she was. With her 15th birthday coming up, she couldn't wait to go back to Hogwarts and be normal again.
Even if she was a Riddle, no one in Hogwarts could know. If anyone were to ever find out, besides Draco, it could ruin Voldemort's plan. He enjoyed seeing his daughter become almost as powerful as him, but she had a greater role in his battle. Voldemort was the only person to know what Y/n's true meaning with him was and he intended on keeping it that way. He was not going to lose, again.

Y/n and Draco got dropped off at the train station by Narcissa. She hugged both of them, telling each of them good luck and to try their best.
They got into the train sitting down in a compartment, waiting for their friends. "Remember you can not say anything about my real father." Y/n warned Draco and he nodded. "My father already told me to keep my mouth shut or bad things would happen." Y/n sighed nodding her head slowly, "I'm sorry he's threatening you, he just doesn't want anyone to know." Draco nodded his head and reached for her hand, "I know love." Y/n smiled at him kissing his cheek and leaned on his shoulder.
Pansy came in barging through the door, "Y/n! I was owling you all break and you didn't reply once! I thought something bad happened!" Pansy huffed as she sat across the couple. "Merlin, I forgot to tell you I spent break with Draco's family!" Pansy raised her eyebrows in a playful way, "The whole break?" Y/n chuckled, "Yes the whole break, it was quite nice." Y/n turned to Draco and smiled at him and he returned the smile. "Daphne said she wants her sister to hang out with us more often." Y/n looked back to Pansy, "Astoria? Is that her name?" Pansy nodded and Y/n shrugged, "I suppose that's fine, I don't really care."
Draco leaned on the table, "I heard we are getting a new defense professor. She's from the Ministry." Pansy sighed, "I really liked Lupin, he actually taught us a lot." Y/n nodded her head in agreement. "I hope she isn't mean." Pansy nodded her head.

Arriving at Hogwarts the three friend sat at the table with Blaise, Daphne, and Astoria. "Hi Draco." She said cheerfully making both Pansy and Y/n look at each other. Draco raised his eyebrow and gave her a nod, as he sat down next to Y/n. They all began to fill their plates with food and desserts.
"Good evening children." Dumbledore spoke making the Great Hall quiet down. "Now we have two changes this year, please welcome Professor Grubbly-Plank, as she will take over Hagrid since he in on absent leave. I'm also pleased to welcome our new Defense of the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Deloris Umbridge." She made a slight giggly making Snape side-eye her. "I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing the professor, good luck." Umbridge cleared her throat making Dumbledore stop his speech. Every professor looked at her like she was crazy. She got up, revealing her very pink pantsuit. Y/n mentally gagged, how can someone wear so much pink?
"Thank you Headmaster, for this kind words of luck. And how lovely to see all your bright happy faces smiling up to me. I'm sure we're all going to be very good friends." "That's likely." The twins said, Y/n heard them and smirk at them. Umbridge continued her speech, "The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be a vital importance. Although each headmaster has brought something new to this historic school, progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged." Y/n looked over at Pansy, who had the same face as her: what the bloody hell is she talking about? "Let us preserve, what must be preserved. Perfect what can be perfected and prove practice that ought to be, prohibited." She smiled and giggled at everyone in the room. She walked off back to her seat and everyone clapped. "Thank you Professor Umbridge, that really was a great speech."
"The Ministry is interfering with our magic here at Hogwarts." Y/n scoffed as she slightly pushed her plate. "Can they do that?" Pansy asked, but Y/n shrugged. "This is going to be an awful year."
Y/n began to eat some jello, while talking to Pansy and Draco. "How is she going to teach Dark Arts, she looks unqualified." Draco told them making them laugh. "She probably won't even teach us, she seems to be against us using magic." Y/n rolled her eyes, Professor Umbridge was going to make everyone's fifth year a living hell.
