Y/n L/n was a quiet girl, she liked to keep her circle small. She came from a wealthy family. Her parents were both Slytherin, so naturally she was sorted into Slytherin as well. That's when she befriended Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass. Pans...

The next morning Y/n went to the owlery to send her parents the letter. She was eager to know the truth.
Today was going to be the day the champions would be chosen. Deep down inside Y/n hoped Cedric was not chosen to be the Hogwarts champion.
She walked with Draco and many students into the Great Hall. He walked with his hand on her lower back, as he usually did. Something about him doing that made him feel like Y/n was safe. They sat down at the Slytherin side with their friends.
"Who do you think is going to get chosen for Hogwarts?" Pansy asked the group. Y/n shrugged, "Maybe someone from Gryffindor?" Draco looked at her, "Why someone from Gryffindor?" Y/n chuckled, "I don't know cause aren't they brave or something." Pansy laughed at her comment, while Draco sort of scoffed and rolled his eyes.
The Great Hall was beginning to fill. Many more students had arrived and Headmaster Dumbledore stood up. Mad-eye Moody, stood up as well, but stayed in the far back observing and drinking from his flask– per usual.
Dumbledore cleared his throat and the hall turned silent. He gave a small speech about the tournament, but many people groaned as they wanted him to get to the point.
He walked towards the Goblet of Fire, "Now the moment you've all been waiting for. The champion selection!" He raised his hand above him, towards the many fires around the room and dimmed it. He went towards the blue fire making it turn red for a moment and a small paper came out flying, "The Durmstang champion is Victor Krum!" His friends all cheered for him, included some people from Hogwarts. The fire turned red again and threw out another paper, "The champion for the Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour!" Her academy cheered for her as well, as she walked in the same place as Victor Krum. Y/n watched anxiously at the red fire as it threw Dumbledore the last paper. She kept telling herself it would be someone from Gryffindor. "The Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory!" The Great Hall filled with cheers, but to Y/n it was dead silent.
She watched him get up with a huge smile and towards the other competitors. He looked at her for a brief moment, giving her a small smile.
Then the unexpected happened, out of nowhere the goblet turned red again. Everyone including the professor's were confused. Dumbledore approached the goblet and it gave him another paper. "Harry Potter? Harry Potter!" His loud voice filled the Great Hall. Everyone looked over to where he was sitting at, Hermione nudged him telling him to get up. Many people were confused and angry. "He cheated!" A boy yelled. "What the bloody hell is going on?" Draco asked, but Y/n shrugged.
Harry stood next to the competitors, with the same confused face everyone had. It was clear to Y/n that Harry didn't enter his name, but who did?
Dumbledore dismissed the students, Y/n walked back with her friends, who were talking about Harry. "I can't believe he's going to compete. Saint Potter always getting his way." Draco scoffed and his friends agreed. "I don't think he put his name in." Y/n spoke up, making everyone look over at her. "I was there with Hermione the whole time, he didn't cross the line. And even the twins tried and they couldn't succeed. It's very unlikely he put his name in there." She told her friends. Draco rolled his eyes, "Defending him now, are you?" Y/n sighed, "It just doesn't make sense on why his name was chosen."
The group of friends entered the dungeons and sat down on the couches. Pansy brought out some candies and passed the bag around. Y/n grabbed a piece of chocolate and Draco got a lollipop. "Do you think he's gonna be killed?" Draco smirked asking the group, while the lollipop stick laid on the corner of his lip. Y/n mentally rolled her eyes, why does he always talk so much about him? "No." Y/n told him, "They wouldn't let anyone die in the competition. Hurt though? Absolutely." Pansy laughed at Y/n's comment making Y/n feel a bit more comfortable.
Talking about Harry Potter around Draco, was like walking around on shattered glass. Y/n basically couldn't say anything because she knew he'd be mad. But at the same time, she couldn't just let him and others talk badly about someone who did nothing to them.
"I'd like to see him get badly hurt." Draco smirked making his two goons laugh. Y/n and Pansy looked at each other giving one another that, there he goes again look. Pansy and Y/n smirked at each other, knowing one of them was going to add to the fume. Today it was going to be Pansy, "I wouldn't, he's rather nice, don't you think Y/n?" She smirked making Y/n want to laugh, but she kept her cool instead and nodded in agreement. "It would be amazing if he ends up winning. He would show all the people who doubted him, what he truly is capable of." Pansy continued. Draco scoffed taking out his lollipop, "Shut up Pansy." Both girls chuckled getting up to go to their room. "Relax Draco, it was just a joke. But Potter stays living in your head rent free huh?" Pansy smirked. Draco got up making Pansy yelp and run to her room. Y/n laughed turning to Draco, "She's kidding Draco. We just like messing with you."
Draco and Y/n went towards the girls stairs, standing in front of each other. "You think it's funny don't you?" Y/n let out a small laugh, "Terribly funny, really witty." She mocked his words from last year making him smile. "You're lucky I care so much about you." Y/n's arm went around his neck pulling him closer, "Yeah yeah." She kissed his lips softly, "Good night Draco." He smirked at her, "Night love." And with that she walked away to her room.

Y/n brought out the black journal that belonged to Tom. Her and Tom had been talking every night, either about Y/n's real mother– who Tom hated talking about. He would never tell Y/n her mother's name, for some reason it brought Tom a feeling he did not want to have. Y/n would also ask about who her real father was, but Tom of course never answered. He did however, tell Y/n they were going to meet in person very soon. He mentioned to her he wasn't going to look the same as he did in her dreams, but nonetheless to not fear him.
Y/n was very naive, she had no idea what Tom Riddle's true intentions with her were. Y/n was slowly beginning to like Tom, he was the only person who really knew about her nightmares and he understood. Which is probably why Y/n liked writing in that journal so much.
Tom had even asked her to hide the journal, which at first she didn't want. She wanted to keep the journal and be able to communicate with him, but of course Tom Riddle was very persuasive. He manipulated her into hiding the journal in a place only she knew about.
A part of Y/n was sad, she wouldn't be able to write to Tom anymore, but he didn't care. With his time slowly rising, he only cared about hiding his precious horcrux.
