It was finally Christmas break. Y/N was eager to get home. After the fight with Cedric, she didn't see much of him, almost like he was avoiding her. She didn't blame him, she did break his heart– twice.
She had informed her parents about dating Draco as well, and they couldn't be more proud. They were happy she was dating a fellow slytherin, who's parents they were great friends with.
Y/N packed her suitcase, putting all her belongings in there. She was eager to get home and greet her parents, who were definitely home. She greeted her friends, quickly giving them their Christmas presents. She gave Pansy and Daphne a friendship bracelet that matched hers. The three friends gave each other a bone crushing hug, making Y/N beg for air. She lastly gave Draco a ring, that she thought was made for him. Upon seeing the ring, she knew it would look great on his hands. Draco had given Y/N a snake necklace with his initials engraved onto it, so everyone knew she was his.
After Train Ride
Y/N hugged her best friends, telling her how much she's going to miss them. Christmas break was going to be long, and not being able to see her friends would certainly devastate her. She went over to Draco, "I'll miss you so much." She sighed while hugging him. "Don't worry love, I heard my parents talk about you coming over to my manor for some business." Y/N pulled apart from the hug, her eyebrows furrowed, "Business?" Draco shrugged, "That's what my father said, I don't know much about it." Y/N nodded her head, "Well then, I guess I'll see you soon Draco." She smiled hugging him once more. "Indeed my love." He kissed her forehead as they went to their parents.
The car ride home was very silent, Y/N didn't talk much because she was wondering what business her parents had with the Malfoy's? It certainly wasn't ministry business, since it was Christmas break.
Arriving to her mansion, Y/N greeted the house elf. Dinner was ready for the family once they arrived. The three of them sat at the dinner table, eating quietly. Y/N moved her carrots around her plate, not really in the mood to eat.
"How was school honey?" Her mother asked. "It was great," Y/N smiled "What business do we have with the Malfoy's?" She eagerly asked. Her mother looked over at her father, waiting for him to answer. "None that's any of your concern." Her father sternly said, cutting a piece of steak and putting it into his mouth. Y/N frowned, looking at her mom for an answer, but she shrugged continuing to eat. "May I be excused?" Y/N asked, her father nodded. She quickly got up, pushing in her chair and went to her bedroom.
Y/N laid on her bed thinking about what they weren't telling her. Could it be maybe they were going to have a Christmas ball, maybe that was the business?
Next Morning
It was Christmas, the holiday Y/N longly waited for. She changed into Christmas pajamas, a tradition her family did every morning. Her pajamas were a long sleeve with cute polar bears printed over the shirt and red shorts. She put on some fuzzy socks and her slippers and rushed downstairs for her presents.
Greeted by Ester, Y/N told her a cheerful 'merry christmas', while she got handed a mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. She drank some, immediately burning her tongue. She placed the mug down and went over to her parents hugging them.
"Merry christmas darling! I hope you love the gifts we got you." Her mother told her. "Thank you, I can't wait to see them."
She went over to the beautifully decorated tree and saw many presents with her name. She smiled widely as she grabbed the nearest one. It had emerald green wrapping paper, reminding her of the Slytherin colors. She opened the present revealing a dress, something her mother gave her every year.
"Thank you mother." Y/N turned to give her a smile and her mother smiled back, nodding.
She went over to the next present, which was wrapped in brown paper-like wrapping, something her dad always did every holiday. Y/N loved her father's gifts, they were always sentimental. She carefully undid the bow and opened the gift, revealing a new book bag. Her father had seen her old bag, it was beaten up with many cracks. She looked in the inside of the bag seeing her initials engraved in gold.
She got up running to her father, "Thank you so much!" Her father laughed, "Of course, you deserve it all honey."
She opened the rest of her presents, getting new clothing, shoes, socks, and money. She reached for her last one, a red present with a tag saying 'from: draco'. She raised her eyebrows, why did he get me another present? She didn't complain, although she wished she knew, so she could have gotten him something. She opened her last present, Draco had given Y/N a quidditch sweater, very similar to his. She brought it out, looking at it and smelling it– why does this smell so much like him? It didn't take long for her to realize it was his sweater. She blushed and smiled at the sweater, she couldn't wait to wear it to support her boyfriend during his games.
She got up, trying to grab all her gifts, thanking her parents once more. Ester grabbed the presents Y/N couldn't hold as they walked back into her room placing everything on her bed. Y/N went back downstairs for breakfast. She sat in the same spot she always had with her parents. She ate her eggs, bacon, and toast. Her father cleared his throat, making Y/N stop eating to look at him.
"After breakfast, get ready. We have guest coming." Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, but didn't question anything. She shrugged as she continued to finish eating.
After breakfast, she did as she was told. She went back into her room, taking a shower and getting ready. Waiting for the mysterious guests to show up.
