Changes ? Draco x Reader

Draco and Y/n were in the library studying. Exams were coming up and she was more stressed than ever. Potions wasn't her best subject and she asked Draco for help. He obviously said yes. They both were reading a chapter in the textbook, Draco would quiz Y/n after she finished reading.

"What potion do you get when you mix fairy wings, morning dew, and rose petals?" Draco asked. She took a moment before saying the potion, "Beautification Potion." She smiled. "What about when you mix Chinese chomping cabbage, puffer-fish, and scarab beetles?" She looked down at her hands and played with her fingers trying to remember the potion name, "I forgot the name, but it's the potion that helps with bone regrowth...Skele-Gro?" Draco smiled, "Yes, see you're brilliant! You will pass the exams."

They started to close all their books and pack up their belongings heading back to the dungeons. "Pure blood." Draco told the painting and it opened the door. "Hey thank you again for helping me, I appreciate it a lot. I owe you one." She smiled at Draco. "Good night." She told him as she went up her dorm room.

Y/n quickly changed into her pajamas and sat on her bed, listening to the conversation Daphne and Pansy were having. "So guys guess what?" Daphne asked. "Hmm?" They both said. "Blaise finally asked me to be his girlfriend! We were sitting near Black Lake, and he gave me a rose and asked me!" Both girls smiled at her friend. "It's about time!" Pansy rolled her eyes playfully. "Right it was getting exhausting seeing him not make a move." Y/n told Pansy and they laughed. "Oh shut up, you both are annoying. You really deserve each other." Daphne rolled her eyes as she got up to go to the restroom.

"Did you hear that Y/n? I guess we're meant to be! Oh love me Y/n!" Pansy dramatically said while falling on her bed with her hand on her head. Daphne scoffed, even though she loved her best friends they were so annoying. She knew they were joking, so Daphne didn't really care. "Oh Pansy please ask me out, but don't take too long! I can't wait anymore, please make a move!" Y/n smirked at Pansy. They were clearly making fun of Blaise. "Are you two done?" Daphne asked as she sat back down on her bed. "You guys are worse than him and I, you two really deserve each other acting like there's no tension between the two of you." Daphne scoffed. The two girls looked at each other and laughed, loudly. That kind of 'ugly' laugh.

"There is no doubt I love Y/n with all my heart, but I don't love her that way." Pansy told Daphne. "You don't?" Y/n fake frowned. Causing Pansy to laugh again and Daphne became annoyed. "Ugh, I'm done with the two of you, good night." Daphne said and she put her bed cover on herself and laid down. "Good night." The two girls told her.

Pansy got up and sat on Y/n's bed. "How was studying with Draco?" She asked. "It was great, he really helped me out." She told her. "That's great, what do you think of him?" She questioned. "What do you mean? Like as in how is he as a person?" "Yeah." She thought about it for a second, "I mean he's pretty kind, very helpful, and I guess he's attractive too...why?" Y/n looked at her friend and raised her eyebrow. She knew she was hiding something. "Oh, no reason just wondering." Pansy said as she got up and laid on her bed. "Mhm." Y/N told her before laying down and falling asleep.

Next Morning

Only a few days were left until it was time for exams. Every student and Hogwarts were either in the library studying or in the Great Hall studying with friends. Y/n woke up around 6 am, she showered and went to eat breakfast with her four other friends. She sat there eating bacon and drinking orange juice, while reading her potion notes she made, with the help of Draco.

She was finally understanding the concept of potions. Even though some potions could not be processed in her mind, she tried her hardest to be able to remember them. She sighed loudly feeling a bit hopeless, she felt like she was going to fail her potions exam. Draco looked up and raised an eyebrow seeing her stressed.

"Hey Y/n do you wanna study today again? We can go to Black Lake?" He asked her. Her eyes filled with hope, "Yes I'd like that. Thank you Draco." She told him giving him a smile. "After classes meet me in the common room?" He told Y/N and she nodded. They all quickly ate as they went to their classes.

The whole day all Draco could think about was the study 'date' he was going to have with Y/n. He thought this could be his chance to show her how much he cared for. As he left Charms and headed towards the dungeon, he grabbed a blanket. He quickly went into the great hall asked the elves for some food. They knew the power his family had and they quickly agreed, arranging him a basket of food and snacks. He thanked them and went back to the common room and waited for Y/n.

She came down wearing leggings and a sweater that was way too big for her. She looked adorable. Draco became a bit nervous, but he remembered: He's a Malfoy he has nothing to be worried about. Y/n went towards him and smiled at him. "Are you ready to go?" He asked her and she nodded. "What's that?" She pointed at the basket. "Oh I thought we could eat as well, since we're gonna miss dinner." He looked at her and she smiled. "That sounds lovely!"

They arrived at Black Lake and Draco put down the blanket. He put the basket to the side and they both began to take out their books and notes. They studied for a couple minutes, "Can I see what's in the basket? I'm quite hungry." Y/n told him. He nodded and handed her the basket. She pulled out two pieces of sandwiches and handed one to Draco. "Let's take a break?" She asked him. He grabbed the sandwich, briefly touching her soft hand. He looked into her eyes and she smiled, before he pulled his hand away, "Thank you." He told her. They began to eat in silence.

Draco tried to talk to her, but every time he looked at her he was at loss of words. He hated feeling like this. He felt like a fool. He never had trouble with girls. He was quite a flirt, it was easy talking to girls– he knew the power he held over others. He knew he was attractive, he knew many wanted him, boy's and girl's. But with Y/n he felt like he had lost his charm.
