Y/n L/n was a quiet girl, she liked to keep her circle small. She came from a wealthy family. Her parents were both Slytherin, so naturally she was sorted into Slytherin as well. That's when she befriended Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass. Pans...

"Fix the cabinet in the Come and Go Room, you don't have much time left. Do not disappoint me."
A small note Y/n received from her father. Sighing she got up from her bed and went down towards the common room to look for Draco. He was sitting by the fire, reading per usual.
"Draco," Y/n softly said. "I received this today." She handed him the small paper and he read it. "What's the come and go room?" She asked him as she sat by him. "It's the room of requirement now, I can't seem to make the cabinet work." He sighed putting his face in his hands. Draco was tired and scared, no matter how many times he tried to fix the cabinet nothing would work. "Could you help me?" He looked up into Y/n's e/c eyes. She nodded laying her head on his shoulder, "We can do this, together."

Draco and Y/n walked towards the Room of Requirement, keeping a look out for Filch. "We won't get caught?" Y/n asked him, while looking around. "No, no one ever comes to the 7th floor." Y/n nodded slowly, she kept feeling like someone was following them.
And someone was, Harry had been suspicious of Draco for a while. When he saw him leave he took the opportunity to follow him, coincidentally Y/n was there too. Harry watched as the two of them entered the Room of Requirement, what business do they have going in there? Harry thought to himself.
Y/n turned back one last time and Harry hid behind the brick wall. She walked in seeing many old artifacts and belongings. Looks like Hogwarts storage unit, she thought to herself. She followed Draco until he stopped in front of the cabinet.
"I can't seem to fix it. Every time I try to make something reappear... it comes out dead." Draco slightly whispered. He was so disappointed he could not fix the cabinet. "What do you mean it comes out dead?" Y/n asked him, but he didn't answer. He felt so embarrassed he could not master the spell. "Draco you need to tell me everything, how else can I help you?" She sighed trying to get him to speak.
Draco felt disappointed with himself. How could he not get that stupid cabinet to work? Why did the Dark Lord have to ask him?
"There were these birds," He sighed as he sat down on an old chair. "I thought maybe if I tried hard enough I could bring the bird back." Draco played his his fingers. "It did appear, but it was dead." He put his face into his hands. He was so exhausted, he had no more energy to do this. "I did it with another bird and the same thing happened." The tone in his voice indicating he was crying.
For the first time ever, Draco Malfoy was crying. He could not do this anymore, he didn't want to do this anymore.
Y/n went bedside him, hugging him tightly. "It's okay," She hummed. "We'll be able to fix it."

A couple days had passed by, Draco and Y/n had spent their free time trying to fix the cabinet. There were times when they spent the night there. Eye bags were very noticeable on both their faces. Professor Snape had even let the slide with missed assignments because he knew what they were doing. Both of them had no energy. With all of their magic being put into the cabinet, they felt drained.
"We have to keep trying if we fail... I don't know what my father would do." Y/n mumbled trying not to think of Voldemort torturing Draco or herself.
Draco got up from the chair rubbing his eyes, "Okay, we can do this." But it sounded more like he was telling himself that. "I can do this." He mumbled to himself.
He got up fixing the end of his suit and made his way to the black box. He grabbed a green apple and put it inside. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, pressing both his hands on the cabinet. "Harmonia Nectere Passus." He slightly whispered and opened the box. The apple was still there.
"I can't fucking do this." He said in defeat feeling very frustrated. "Yes you can. We can do this, maybe if we both try we will be strong enough?" Y/n suggested and Draco nodded slowly. He closed the cabinet again as he held one of Y/n's hand. Both their other hands were placed on the cabinet.
"Harmonia Nectere Passus." They both said in unison. Draco opened his eyes again and slowly opened the cabinet. The green apple was still there, but this time it was bitten. Y/n's eyes widen and a smile appeared on her face, "Draco! We did it!" She said happily feeling very relieved. Draco grabbed the apple and examined it, "Let's go tell your father the news."
Draco felt a huge wave of stress lift up from his shoulders. The only problem he had left was killing Dumbledore. A part of him didn't want to kill him, but he had too. If he wanted his family to stay alive, he had no other choice than to kill Dumbledore.
