For a moment Y/n's eyes filled with darkness and Seamus took notice of that because he immediately leaned back into his seat. "Nevermind, forget I said that." He laughed nervously. Y/n sighed as she shrunk into her chair waiting for class to begin.

As Y/n suspected, Trelawney and Umbridge came into the classroom. Professor Trelawney began her lesson as she always did. She began to speak about prophecies, but Y/n wasn't listening. She didn't believe a word that lady said our of her mouth, after Trelawney humiliated Y/n, she despised her.

As Professor Trelawney was talking her book felt onto the ground, Umbridge took notice and walked over to her. "Oh!" Trelawney said surprise as she took notice of the pink outfit. "What are you doing here?" She asked Umbridge. "Don't mind me dear. You see, Professor Trelawney isn't it?" She nodded as Umbridge continued, "In addition to my teaching duties, the ministry has asked me to act as an informal observer, here at Hogwarts–Cornelius's eyes and ears. As it were nothing whatsoever to worry about, please do go on I'm just a fly on them." Umbridge stood beside her taking note of everything Trelawney was saying and doing.

It was clear to many students Professor Trelawney was nervous to talk or even teach. Y/n looked at the scene unfold, with a slight smirk. As Trelawney was about to talk, Umbridge interrupted her, "Just one question here. You've been in this post how long exactly?" Trelawney answered, "Umm, nearly 16 years." Trelawney talked nervously around her, many people could tell she felt intimidated. "Quite a period!" Umbridge wrote down on her paper again. "And it was Dumbledore who appointed you?" She asked her. "Yes he did." Trelawney replied back.

Umbridge signaled Trelawney to continue her lesson again, only to interrupt her again. "Just one more thing, if it isn't too much bother. Could you please predict something for me?" Many Slytherin's looked at each other with smirks, they knew Trelawney was incapable of doing so.

Trelawney felt a bit surprised of Umbridge asking her, but every time Umbridge responded– she made Professor Trelawney look stupid or incapable of teaching such a job.

Trelawney went over to her crystal ball trying to see anything, but nothing worked. It was clear to everyone in that room Professor Trelawney could not predict a single thing, at the moment. She began to stutter trying to find her words to form a sentence. "The inner eye does not see upon command." Trelawney finally spoke. "Oh wow, not one teensy little prophecy?" All eyes landed on Trelawney for an answer, but again she stayed silent. Umbridge began to write down and leave, "Wait! Wait! I do see something, yes! Something dark, you are in grave danger!" Umbridge turned back around with an unamused expression on her face, "Lovely." And with that she left the classroom, leaving everyone surprised and confused.

"Do you think she can fire any professors?" Pansy asked Y/n, but she shrugged. "I don't think she has that power." Pansy sighed, "I should get to my seat before she gets here, I don't want her to give me detention." Y/n chuckled, "I'll see you after class."

Pansy got up from the seat and went to her assigned Dark Arts seat. Since Umbridge got there, students have not learned a single thing. Y/n didn't care though, her father did teach her well. Draco sat by Y/n giving her a smile, in which she quickly returned. Umbridge came right on queue, books came flying to each students desk again. "Study for your owls." She giggled. Every student sighed as they opened the book.

Umbridge cleared her throat throat making every student look up, "There has been talk about Cedric Diggory being killed by he who must not be name. I can assure you his death was accidental." She giggled. Harry looked bothered and so did Y/n. She hated when anyone brought Cedric up, especially when they were lying on his name. "It's such a shame, I guess that's why they needed a new professor."

Y/n's mouth hung slightly open, is she really making his death about her? "He was killed by Voldemort, you are here just as a replacement. I can assure you, we have had far better dark arts professors." Y/n said making everyone turn to her. Y/n looked at Draco, Merlin did I just say that out loud? Draco nodded his head slowly. Umbridge walked over to their desks, "Detention Miss L/n."

A day of classes passed by quickly for Y/n. She wished her last class didn't end, so she could avoid detention with Umbridge.

With huge weight on her shoulders she walked to Umbridge's office. She knocked on the door and it opened by itself.

The room was filled with pink, as if Umbridge didn't wear enough of it. "Miss L/n, take a seat and bring out a piece of parchment paper. You won't need a quill, I have one for you." She placed a quill by Y/n's hand. "Uh, what do I write?" Umbridge giggle, "I must not tell lies."

Y/n sighed as she began to write the phrase. She winced as she felt pain on her hand, she stopped writing to look at her hand. 'I must not tell lies' was pierced into her skin. She gasped, "Problem Miss L/n?" Umbridge asked her, Y/n looked at her in disgust. "No ma'am." Y/n continued to write, but the more she wrote the deeper the cuts on her hand got.

There were moments where Y/n wanted to shed a tear, but she didn't want to give Umbridge the satisfaction. After writing 10 lines, she was finally dismissed.

Y/n walked out of her office and into the dungeons, where Draco was waiting for her. He watched as she entered with blood dripping from her hand. "Bloody hell, are you alright?" He grabbed her hand, but let go when she winced. "She did this?" He asked her and she nodded. Draco took off his sweater and lightly dapped it onto her hand. "She's cruel, Draco. Who does this as detention?" She bit her lip trying not to cry. "From now on, don't talk back to her. I don't like seeing you hurt." Draco looked into her eyes sighing.

Y/n nodded her head slowly. Draco continued cleaning the blood off her small hand. Doing everything in his power to try and make her feel better.
