McKenzie's P.O.V.

Louis & I have been dating for a couple weeks now and I'm really glad I gave him a chance! He is really sweet and goofy and a lot of fun to be around. We've hung out some on our own but tonight we are hanging with the whole gang. Niall called me this morning to let me know we were going to go ice skating.

I love that Niall got back in touch with me, even though the reason wasn't so great. I've missed him a lot. Ever since what happened I had distanced myself from almost everyone but I realized I had been doing that for long enough. It was time to start living again!

I'm making me some lunch when I hear a knock on my door. I open it revealing Louis.

"Hello love," he says stepping inside and gives me a hug, lifting me off the ground.

"Hey Lou. Want some lunch? I just started making it."

"Sure." I walk back into the kitchen after shutting the front door, Louis following close behind. "Are you excited for tonight?"

"Yeah! It's going to be a lot of fun hanging out with everyone, did Niall tell you who all was coming?"

"He said of course him and Tatum, us, Liam, and Josh. So everyone." I nod as I finish the pasta. I put some in a bowl & hand it to him.

"Do you want anything to drink?"

"Water's fine." I hand him his water and he goes into the living room. I grab my bowl and drink and follow after him. "Where are your parents?" He asks when I sit down next to him.

"Work. As usual." I take a bite.

"Do you really ever see them?"

"Um not really. Mainly on holidays when they have off. I mean it's whatever I'm used to it. I use to spend all my time with Niall so I didn't really pay that close attention to them basically missing me grow up and now I have you to do that," I tell him and give him a kiss on the cheek. He smiles and we go back to eating.

We just chill and watch TV until it's time for me to get ready. I quickly change into some warmer clothes as Louis sits on my bed looking at a magazine I had sitting on my nightstand.

"Ok I'm good to go." He looks up from the magazine and gives me a smirk. "What?!"

"Nothing you just look beautiful." He gets up, walks over to me, puts his arms around my waist, and kisses me. We pull away, me blushing. "Come on we are picking up Niall and Tatum." We walk out of my house & he leads me to the passenger side and opens the door for me. He shuts the door once I'm in, quickly gets in himself, and starts the car. We talk and sing along to the radio as we drive to Niall's place. When we arrive, Louis honks to let them know we are here. They come out a few minutes later holding hands. I'm normally a little iffy about who Niall dates because sometimes girls aren't always in it for the right reasons but Tatum is the one for him. They love each other so much! You can just see it.

"Hey guys! How are yall?" Tatum greets once they get in the car.

"Good," Louis and I answer at the same time, causing everyone to laugh.

"That was freaky," Niall says.

"Oh like yall don't do that," Louis says.

"We don't," they both say in unison and Louis & I give them a look. Louis turns back around and starts the car as we all finish laughing.

"Liam and Josh said they are on their way." Niall tells everyone when we start going. We catch up with one another since we haven't seen each other since school let out for break. It doesn't take long to get to the rink, so before we knew it we were there.
