Second Person POV
"Y/n! Your turn!" Dracul calls while walking into a cave, it was dark and cold, but you placed a bed in there for the time of the Midnight sun. Dracul and yourself tire yourselves out so as not to go crazy from lack of sleep.
Nyra shifts as you groan while rolling onto your side, not ready to look after the riders. After a few moments of borderline sleeping, you wake up as Nyra and Mischief stretch. Forcing yourself up, cold water hits your face immediately, causing your brain to snap awake.
A yelp escapes your mouth before you wipe your face with your sleeve to see Dracul standing there with an empty bucket. You glare at him while he lazily smiles, meaning that everyone has lost it or something else.
"Hiccup has left for Berk, leaving everyone with the simple task of cleaning their dragons," Dracul explains, yawning in between.
"They've all gone insane goodnight," Dracul tells you as you walk out of the cave with Mischief and Nyra.
"Brilliant." You sigh before hopping onto Nyra and flying over to the base.
Nyra lands on the grass behind the dome, behind everyone, so you can understand what you're dealing with.
"What in the name of Thor?" You mutter in disbelief.
"All right, people. Time to put away those whiny attitudes. We're about to turn those frowns upside down." Astrid exclaims while holding one mace up to the sky on top of a stack of barrels, two others in her other hand.
Heather was suffering from a lack of coordination, completely missing a step. Fishlegs was hiding behind some barrels, tense while spying on everyone. You could only guess he was suffering from extreme paranoia, which fit him.
The twins were observing, laughing to themselves. Snotlout steps up to Astrid, who starts to juggle the maces.
"Astrid, you're a miracle, a goddess sent from Valhalla. We, mere mortals, are not worthy to be in your presence. Not worthy at all." Snotlout cries, and you blink multiple times to check you are not seeing things.
The twins say something before Snotlout storms over and start shaking one of the barrels on the bottom.
"Stop right now, young lady! You'll put an eye out." Snotlout yells, making Astrid laugh more as she continues the juggle while balancing on one foot.
After a moment, the tower of barrels comes crashing down, and Stormfly squawks in worry. By a miracle, Astrid lands on top of Snotlout, who falls onto his stomach, and a mace hits his head, causing Astrid to start laughing.
Snotlout also starts laughing, his mood swinging drastically, with Astrid laughing before grabbing the mace and hitting his head. They both gradually calm down, each being content with the other, which barely ever happens.
"Thank goodness. Let's all hope we never have to go through that ag-" Snotlout is cut off by Heather falling, the bucket of water splashing the pair.
"Sorry..." Heather says with a nervous smile.
"Why? Why did you do that?" Snotlout cries, and you sigh while pinching the bridge of your nose.
The twins start challenging each other while you eventually make your way over.
The dragons all spot you and gather around you, meaning that what you just witnessed wasn't the worse of it.
"Is it that bad?" You ask them all, and you receive growls of agreement from all the dragons before Astrid notices you.
"Y/n! There you are!" Astrid exclaims, and the dragons all scatter back to where they were, barely leaving you time to process what happened.
"I've been looking for you all day!" Astrid tells you cheerfully, and you start to smile worryingly at her.
"Yeah... Sorry about that." Astrid gasps while looking at you up and down.
"Have you done something with your hair? Or is it the sun making you look so pretty?" Astrid asks, with your hands in hers.
"I just woke up." You explain with a deadpan expression, and Astrid looks at you in wonder.
"You slept? Is that where Dracul went?" At this point, you could tell Astrid was delirious.
"I... Yeah, that's where he went now... Uh... How about you go and do whatever it was you were doing." You say to her, which causes her to walk away, delirious euphoria controlling her thought.
'Oh boy, I'm so glad Hiccup's staying at Berk.'
With that thought in mind, you wander over to Fishlegs to check on him and try to calm him down from his paranoia.
"Fishlegs, are you-"
"What are you looking at? Trying to pry my brain open for all my dragon knowledge?" Fishlegs questions suspiciously.
"What do you mean?"
"What do you think you mean?" Fishlegs fires back, causing you to look at him awkwardly, not knowing how to answer that.
"O... kay?" You say before quickly moving on to get a grasp on the situation.
><><><
"Quit moving, girl. You're making this impossible." Heather tells the rock she's scrubbing, thinking it's Windshear. But, Windshear was standing by you as you sided with dragons on this one.
"Stay. Stay." Heather says, pointing to the rock before turning to Fishlegs.
"Fishlegs, can you give me a hand with my dragon?" Heather asks the extremely paranoid Fishlegs, who, like you, eyes her suspiciously.
"Hand? What do you mean by that?" Fishlegs asks, implying Heather would want his actual hand and not getting the idiom behind the question.
'Oh, gods.'
"What do you think I mean?" Heather questions.
"What do you think you mean?" Fishlegs replies, leaving Heather dumbfounded while walking away towards the rock she presumes is Windshear.
"Ha! Exactly. Why don't you think on that for a while?!" Fishlegs yells from his fort of boxes.
Your sight lands on Snotlout, who was also watching the conversation, as he starts laughing, but yet again, that laughter turns to sobs. Hearing the sobbing, Astrid runs over as you watch in disbelief.
"Aw, come on, Snotlout. Dry those tears. You're too handsome to be crying all the time." Astrid says, coddling him by wrapping her arms around him and Stormfly chirps in worry.
"I am?" Snotlout asks between the sniffles.
"Of course. Now, let's see that Jorgenson smile." Astrid says, grabbing his face and making Snotlout smile.
"Come on now. There we go. There's a little grinny-grin. There it is. There it is." Astrid explains, like a mother with a young child.
Stormfly and Hookfang share a look of knowing their riders have gone insane.
"These guys are ridiculous," Tuff states, and you know he couldn't talk.
"Now, wait. What was I doing? Oh, yes. Oh. No. Stop it. That tickles. No. No. Not there. Never there." Tuff laughs while falling to the ground, thinking or feeling imaginary fruit bats tickle him.
"Hey, don't you love fruit bats? They're so cuddly. And they're playful and loyal, like flying yak rats. Remember those old things?" Tuff asks though he is looking at no one and confusing you as to who he is talking to.
"Adorable. I used to have a flying yak rat when I was a kid. But you had to put it in a catapult before it flew, and it didn't have wings." After finishing his ramble of nonsense, he glances over at Ruff.
Ruff was playing Yak Stack with a two-headed dragon. She was also using boars when you're meant to use sheep.
"Now remember, whoever moves first loses and has to fly a lap around the island, backwards, blindfolded. We talked about this," Ruff explains before crossing her arms.
Tuff, hallucinating, jumps in front of the group and yells while falling to the ground.
"Fruit Bat!" This startles Barf and Belch, causing the stack of boars stacked on their heads to fall, and Ruff becomes frustrated after this as she glares at her twin.
"Thanks a lot! You just ruined our game of Yak Stack. You are so obviously losing it from this lack of sleep." Ruff says to him, and at those accusations, Tuff stands with his arms crossed.
"Oh, yeah? You've already lost it."Tuff declares dramatically.
"Oh, really? How so?" Ruff asks, challenging her brother.
"You're playing Stack the Yak, which you play with sheep," Tuff then proceeds to mimic a chicken, "not boars. So obvious. I'm embarrassed, Ruffnut."
Tuff looks away with his arms crossed, and Ruff knows he's not one to talk.
"What about you, Tuffnut? Everyone knows that fruit bats don't come out of hibernation until the third day of spring. It's the first day of spring today!" Ruff yells at the top of her lungs, and you watch, amazed that even in their delirious state, they can get on each other's nerves.
"Ergo, you are clearly herding dwarfed split-nosed bats. No wonder they're not listening!" Ruff adds while you and the dragons share a tired look.
><><><
"Feelings! I think we should talk about our feelings!" Astrid declares, looking around in wonder and joy.
"No... I disagree," You say quietly to yourself while standing up, having enough of everyone being sleep deprived.
"Our deepest, innermost thoughts. Oh, Ruffnut, you go first." Astrid says and points to Ruff.
"Yeah, Ruffnut, you go first. Ruffnut? Ruffnut? Go first!" Ruff shrieks and you assume that she's seeing multiple of yourself.
"I'll go. When I was young- Oh gosh, I can't do this! I'm getting too emotional, but I think you get the idea. Right?" Snotlout weeps before running over to Hookfang, and the dragon fires at the ground in front of Snotlout to keep him away.
"No, no! My friend!" Snotlout cries, running away.
"No, Meatlug. If I say something, they'll use it against me. And they'd like that, WOULDN'T THEY?!" Fishlegs yells, still in his box fort, thinking everyone's plotting against him. You couldn't blame him because Tuff was laughing at a clueless Ruffnut.
"No, nothing, nothing. All is good here. I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers." Tuff cackles, hands on his knees as he starts laugh-crying.
Chicken walks up to Ruff, unsure of what's happening with Tuff, and you couldn't blame her.
"I mean, look at us. We're all cooped up." Tuff continues as you walk over to a trap door, knowing it would be the perfect place to force all the riders into so they all get some sleep.
"I don't know about you, but I'm eggsasperated!" Tuff laughs while continuing to make egg and chicken puns, "Egg sasperated!"
Ruff charges at Tuff, tackling him to the ground and punching him in the stomach, which tickles Tuff more than hurt him.
"Oh! Oh, no. No, stop. Stop." Tuff begs between laughs while you kneel to talk to Mischief.
"Can you go get the extra furs?" You ask, and he chirps before flying off as Stormfly walks over, lifting the trap door with her tail to show all the dragons.
"Time to sleep. You've all lost it." You say before spotting Astrid, you look over at Windshear, and she walks over to keep the trap door over.
You both start subtly herd Astrid towards the trapdoor, trying to get her to jump in because she would in her delirious euphoria.
"Feelings. I wanna hear about feelings." Astrid declares, running Stormfly's way, and the Nadder spreads her wings compelling Astrid to go towards the trap door.
Meanwhile, Snotlout walks up to a wooden pole used for training and woodchopping and looks at it with a lonely child's innocent, "Will you be my friend?"
Mischief returns, placing the furs into the little room before landing and fixing it so the fur's comfortable. Fishlegs was still going on his paranoid rant, talking to Meatlug about his theories.
"It's a trap, Meatlug. Don't listen to them. This is exactly what they want. I'm on to you! I AM ON TO ALL OF YOU!" Fishlegs yells, and you sigh as Mischief flies out of the room and Astrid spots the open trap door.
She runs over while Stormfly sneaks up behind her.
"I love the darkness. It's like a big, fluffy blanket of blackness." Astrid explains before Stormfly knocks her in with her tail.
With all the dragons getting the idea, you place a hand on Stormfly's snout with a smile. Meatlug grabs Fishlegs by a leg before starting to drag him to the trapdoor, Fishlegs screaming and holding onto a box.
"IT'S A COUP!" Fishlegs screams.
"Don't you mean a coop?" Tuff laughs, still saying chicken puns, "Chicken coop."
Both twins were held in Barf and Belch's mouths as they were dropped into the door with Fishlegs. Hookfang drags over a crying Snotlout, who had been detached from the pole he was hugging.
Hookfang growls while looking at Mischief.
Mischief chirps at him before flying to his hut, and Hookfang waits for the Terror to return while he keeps his hold on Snotlout. You watch as Mischief returns with a doll and places it at your feet, nudging it towards you.
"Oh..." You pick up the doll and put it in front of him.
Snotlout stops sobbing before grabbing it, and Hookfang drops Snotlout as Windshear brings Heather over. You grasp the bucket of water from her, understanding that it would be spilled if you didn't.
"Rest, Heather. I'll clean all the dragons." With a sleepy smile, Windershear drops Heather, and you all look down at the riders.
"Sleep well, guys," you say before closing the trap door and looking at the dragons.
"Alright, who wants to go first?" With that answer, all the dragons try to get to you first, making you laugh.

While you use a cloth to clean in between Windshears armour plates to get out what you couldn't with the scrub. Making it more comfortable for the Razorwhip, all the dragons roar a greeting.
You follow their gaze to see Toothless and Hiccup flying in, landing in front of you, looking exhausted.
"Y/n? Where is everyone? And Why aren't they cleaning their dragons?" Hiccup questions and you laugh while gesturing to follow as you walk towards the trap door.
Stormfly opens the door with her tail, showing all the Riders sleeping soundly.
"Of course, everybody gets to sleep but me. Typical." Hiccup says, and Toothless and yourself share a knowing look. You both push him in and close the trap door as Toothless lines up to get clean while you walk over to Windshear.
