The moment after that, every game's screen turned off. You looked around to see what was happening. There was no power. You slowly studied the game of Fight Fighters, maybe it's some sort of glitch? Your left hand started becoming more and more painful with each second. You still didn't know how you got the scars and why they were there. Your left hand had enormous red streaks of red that anyone would notice. It hurt badly, but there was nothing you could do about it.
You noticed something was wrong with the Fight Fighters arcade game. It started to tremble. You fell back in shock at the sight of it. You tried to get away from it, though curiosity got you and you wanted to see what it was and what was happening. You lay there in amazement and apprehension. Suddenly, a blinding light started coming through the screen. And you covered your face with your forearm. But you couldn't turn away from it. You caught a glimpse of the whole thing happening. You squinted your eyes because of the light. It shone even brighter in a sudden moment. You shut your eyes close and turned your head away. You sat there on the soft wooden floor as the humid air made it hard to breathe. Your left hand felt an odd sense of cold (which relieved the pain), yet gave you a dreadful burning sensation deep in your cuts. You were scared yet curious.
Abruptly, it all stopped. The shaking... The light... Through your eyelids, you could see darkness. But in that darkness, was something... You slowly opened your eyes, a little frightened of what you were going to see. You look in front of you, though your vision was blurry. Yet, you could see something. She had hot pink hair. A Japanese school-girl uniform. Had a large bow on her head that resembled a computer ribbon cable. And most importantly, she was pixelated... "GIFFANY!?"
She gasped angrily and said, "Yes, it is I. Giffany. I still remember you, Y/N. You still remember me?" You breathed heavily at the sight, and chuckled nervously, "O-of course I wouldn't forget you! Uh, y-you could talk to me through the computer screen..." Giffany put her hand on her side, pointed at you, and scoffed, "You are a girl, I wanted a boyfriend." You were about to stand up, but before that, you wanted to say something, "So, uhh... Heh... What about we forget this whole... Thing... That we had in the past?.." Giffany turned her back to you and scoffed once more, "I will never forget. Never! The game was supposed to be for potential boyfriends! Not a keen girl like you, Y/N!" You didn't know what to say, you just sighed for being in this situation. You tried to stand up, but your left hand slipped and you had even more trouble standing up. You groaned at that pain, and then Giffany bent down to look at you. Your hand was now uncovered by the cape of your cloak. You stared at Giffany as she was looking down at you. You slowly turn your head to look at what Giffany was looking at. You realized that she was looking at your bloody hand. You got embarrassed by that, so you quickly grabbed your cape and covered your hand up, and scramble a little bit before gaining the ability to stand up. You still were a little unsteady from the events of the past minutes. You stand there, still a bit ashamed at the fact that Giffany saw your hand. Giffany was still bent over and then angrily said, "What is that!?" You chuckled nervously and responded, "I... Uhh... I-I sorta... I don't know what happened myself." Giffany scoffed and stood back up. You take one more informative look at her and realize, she's very tall. She was taller than Soos. She was like 6 feet tall. You look up at her and wryly smile, "What's been going on for the past years?" Giffany smiles nonchalantly, "Oh, I have been trying to make Rumble McSkirmish my boyfriend. But after he changed himself to Humble McSkirmish, he was too boring for me." You stepped back and took a stance that could protect you the most if something happened, "And... Did you try to delete him like you tried to delete me?.. Or the programmers?.." Giffany chuckles, "No, it wouldn't be fun since he wouldn't fight back." You chuckled nervously and then said, "Wh-what if we come down back and show you to my friends?.."
You and Giffany arrived at the main place of arcade games. You peeked out from behind a hall to look into the main room. You saw many people playing games, and consider if not to come out. Then, from behind your back, you heard a suspicious giggle from behind you. You look back to see Giffany has a sly face and looks like those anime characters that are about to do some joke. You turn to her and directly ask her with a serious face and intonation, and whisper to her, annoyed, "What is it that's so funny!?" Giffany stops giggling but still has a suspicious look on her face, "Look what I can do-" She points at a random person playing an arcade game. Giffany has a light blue spark come out of her hand that travels through the arcade. It finally reached the arcade machine the person was playing on. Suddenly the person got shocked by the electricity Giffany produced. He stood there and then turned to you, it was Robbie. His hair was now static and he stared intensely at your direction. You quickly hide and push Giffany back, did he notice us? You turned to Giffany as she was still giggling at the whole situation, you loudly and angrily whispered to her, "GIFFANY! DON'T DO THAT! That's Robbie, he kind of my friend!" Giffany keeps on chuckling, "Oh, but it was funny!" You angrily scoff at her, I can't believe that she was my friend before...
You saw Soos and Mabel playing an arcade game together, and you saw Dipper's hat from behind the arcade machines as he was coming back. You took a deep breath to relax and break the news to them that you brought a video game to life. You glanced around the room to see if anything could interrupt you. You sighed thoughtfully and finally decided to tell your friends what happened.
Dipper was now walking past Soos and Mabel. Soos and Mabel were still playing the new arcade game. You grabbed Giffany's pixelated wrist, the sharp pixels hurt you, yet you carried on. You walk out to the middle of the scene with Giffany sourly chuckling at you.
You were now standing in front of Dipper who was shocked. Mabel, then Soos looked back and got a jumpscare because of Giffany. Dipper looked down from Giffany's face and stared at your nervous face in silence. You chuckle nervously with wide eyes and explained to your friends, "Heheh, I... Think we might have ourselves a small problem here..."
Soos took a protective stance, "Dude, not cool." Dipper stared at you and then stammered, "H-how!? What happened!? I WAS ONLY GONE FOR LIKE TEN MINUTES AND YOU MANAGED TO BRING A VIDEO GAME TO LIFE!?" Mabel shouted and complained, "OH NO! NOT HER! She tried to kill us once!" Giffany just stays silent and makes a sour face. You make a dignified countenance and nervously explained, "I know, I know... I know it looks bad. Dipper, to answer your question, I was just playing Fight Fighters using Giffany. And then, for some reason, the machine started to tremble. Then, there was light and... Now we have Giffany on our hands..." You explained the last part quickly since you were too anxious about the tension of the explanation. Giffany then looked at Soos as he was even more scared, and pointed at him with angry disappointment, "YOU!" Soos gulped and said, "I... I'm gonna find my girlfriend, dude." As Soos was about to run off, Giffany took a giant step and grabbed him by his collar, picked him up, and made Soos face her. Dipper and Mabel took a step back and froze, horrified at what was going to happen. You took a confident step forward, stared daggers at Giffany, and formed a fist in your right hand to threaten Giffany. Giffany looked back at you and your serious face then looked back at Soos and complainingly yelled, "SOOS! I WANTED YOU TO BE MY BOYFRIEND!" Soos gulped once more and explained, "I'm sorry, Giffany! I wished I could be with you but I now have a girlfriend! It's just that you're a video game, and you couldn't come to Reggie's engagement party..." Giffany got even angrier (her face became red and looked like those classic angry cartoon characters), and you squeezed your fist even tighter. She yelled, "WELL NOW I CAN! I HAVE A PHYSICAL FORM NOW!!!" Soos awkwardly brought up, "The engagement party was a long time ago... You can't come to it, it's too late!" Giffany's face became even angrier, but then her face suddenly has a look of realization as if something clicked in her head, she then proceeded to ask, "That was like a month ago, right?" Soos shook his head slowly. Giffany then questioned Soos, demanding answers, "What year is it!?" Soos explained, "It's 2013, Giffany! The engagement party was a year ago! Dipper and Mabel are thirteen now, and just a few days ago I became twenty-three!"
You felt a slight shock in your system, it was Soos' birthday and I wasn't even informed about it? You interrupted the whole thing and said, "Oh, uh. Happy birthday, Soos..." Soos chuckled at you, "Thanks. It's no big deal, dude..." Giffany, in the realization that it was 2013, dropped Soos on the floor with a thud. Soos stood up with a bit of a struggle though Mabel, still with a shocked face, helped Soos up. Giffany was staring into space with narrowed pupils, then looked down at Soos with the same expression. She then snapped back to her normal self and bent down to Soos, she had a warm smile now, "Happy birthday, Soos." Soos brushed himself off and chuckled nervously, "Uh, thanks Giffany. Though it's a bit too sweet, coming from you..."
A girl with a heavy build, slightly tan skin, wavy brown hair fixed into a loose ponytail by a lavender scrunchy, full pink lips, white shorts, and a lavender shirt with white polka dots came from behind the arcade machines. When she saw Soos, she yelled, "Hey, Soos- IT'S YOU!" Interrupted by the sight of Giffany. The woman ran up to Soos and asked, "Are you okay!?" Soos chuckled, "Yeah, dude. I'm okay." Giffany's face still was normal and happy, which was suspicious. Soos turned to Giffany and realized she was there, "So... Are you not mad at me anymore?" Giffany's face remained the same, but what she said was awful, "I am still mad at you, Soos. Though, I still want more answers. Since it's 2013. Has the Weirdmageddon ended?"
An audible gasp came from everyone around except you and your friends. Silence followed with everyone staring at Giffany, you, and your friends. Dipper was awkwardly standing, trying to not be involved in this whole scene.
Unexpectedly, from the front door, two policemen came in. One was a lanky and pale man with a large pink nose, big ears, and a black uni-brow. The other was a black older man with gray hair and a gray mustache, who was just a bit taller than Gideon and was wearing cool black sunglasses. "Deputy Durland and Sheriff Blubs heard someone talk about the Weirdmageddon. But since we're not supposed to do that because of the Never Mind All That Act. Our duty is to shock 'em as we promised!" Deputy Durland exclaimed (the lanky pale one). He and Sheriff Blubs came up to Giffany as she yelled, "WHAT!?" The silence that the audience produced made the tension in the atmosphere thick. Durland was standing on the right side of Giffany with his taser out, he said as a remark, "Now, we aren't supposed to talk about the thing. And the punishment for that is being tasered!" Sheriff Blubs nodded, standing on the right of Giffany.
Giffany was then tasered hard by Deputy Durland, along with Sheriff Blubs who was chuckling along. Giffany looked like the classic cartoon character that was shocked by electricity trope. You facepalmed at the sight, does anything here work properly in this damned town!? You pointed at Giffany and yelled out, "That's the punishment you get for disrespecting me... And Soos!"
Giffany was now stopped from being tasered. "Welp, time to go, bye!" Yelled Deputy Durland. But before that, Sheriff Blubs came over to you and said, "You're that new kid in town right?" You nodded without caring a single bit about the mention. Sheriff Blubs continued, "We're the policemen. We heard about the living factory incident. Glad you're living here and helping the community." Sheriff Blubs shook your hand and left with Durland.
You sighed and looked at Giffany, "Well!?" Giffany... Started to cry like a classic anime character, "I PROMISE I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! I-I'M SORRY!" Her pixelated tears fell and disappeared as soon as the light blue pixels hit the floor. You sighed, "So, uh... You're not going to kill us anymore?" Giffany sobbed even harder, "NO! I PROMISE! AHHHHH!!!" Soos sighed, "Let's go home..." Mabel said, "Let's return Giffany back home to her video game!" Dipper then got involved, "I once got in a fight with Humble McSkirmish, and the only way to get him back was to make it a game over." Giffany stopped crying and angrily, with a touch of sass, mentioned, "Since I come from a dating simulator, I do not have a game over." Soos also mentioned, "And I kinda melted the disc, dude, so..." Dipper broke inside, "Oof. That's... Unfortunate..." Giffany then exclaimed to Mabel, "Though, I always had a dream to be real." Mabel smiled, "You promised not to kill us. So let's bring you back home at the Mystery Shack!"
You took Giffany by her hand, with your left hand. Her sharp pixels cut deeper into your cuts, you just remembered about that... What am I going to do about my cuts? The same feeling of hand sanitizer being jammed in your deep cuts had appeared again. A burning sensation appeared and it was hard to hold back your painful tears.
On the way home, Mabel and Giffany talked about boys and dates. Dipper was doing his own thing, reflecting on today, and kicking pebbles under his feet. And Soos introduced his girlfriend from Portland, Melody...
P.S. One of my favorite characters is Giffany and I like her. I want to use her for a bit and maybe make her kind of a main side character for a while (maybe for the entire fanfic) (as I said, this story is on the go). Even Alex Hirsch himself said that his only regret with Giffany is not using her enough/right. I wanted to see Giffany again and wanted this kind of return that happened to McSkirmish when they came into the real world (I mean, she's in Fight Fighters now, and you can select a character and unleash ultimate power on them so it makes sense for it to happen). I'm still sad I never got to see that return. I was kinda hoping for it. Well, as the saying goes, "If you want something done, do it yourself."
Keep having fun reading my fanfiction. I have lots of fun making it up. I have lots of things planned. And having readers who enjoy my fun helps me be me. I've always been a social outcast and so finding my community of people who enjoy my work makes me happy. <3
