Izetta's POV
"You have three shows today, Miss Izetta. I advise that you make at least one cancelation." I was getting ready for a night show in another country. I could get there fast, after all. I was going to be in three different places today. I was ready for it.
"I'm not canceling, Spark." Spark was the new assistant that Tony had made for me. He kept track of my schedule and he was the one that ran everything in the background of all my events. It had been a few months since we defeated Ultron and this had become my life. Mostly because I had nothing else to do, so I had constant shows.
"Miss Izetta, you might be a version of a super-human, but you cannot keep pushing yourself."
"I'm fine, Spark. Let's just get going. I'm not gonna be late." I put on my suit, transformed, and flew out to get to my show. I arrived right on time. I fixed myself up a bit and I was on stage within five minutes. I did the show and, even though it lasted an hour and a half, it felt like I had only done two songs by the time it was over.
"Thank you, everybody, and goodnight!!" The lights turned off and I heaved. My body was burning. I walked offstage and started to take out all of the junk that was in my hair. I got cleaned up a bit, put my suit back on, and headed out again. My other show was starting in two hours. I wasn't stopping. I didn't even get something to eat. I didn't feel hungry. Silk popped out, trying to stop me, but I ignored him, telling him I was fine.
It would always go this way. I would have a blast, but as soon as I made it to the last song, I would feel the dread start kicking in. I never wanted it to be the last song anymore. If I could stay on stage forever, I wondered if it would get old or if I would be satisfied.
I began to live for the thrill of the party. I loved it and I was thankful that Tony had given me something fun to do when I wasn't either sitting at home or being Titania, but I'd become dependent on it. It was my high that I never wanted to end. I didn't even realize that that's what it had become.
Tony had also been gone lately and I wasn't exactly at home at the Avengers Tower where my current residency was. Not to mention I hadn't actively been there in a while, hopping from hotel to hotel most of the time. I wasn't in a very stationary mood, to put it simply.
But anyway, Tony had been busy with some stuff. I think it had something to do with some changes in regulations with something, but he hadn't told me much about it. I didn't really care at the time. It was hard to really focus on much else for me lately.
Two hours later and only having drunk a few bottles of water, I was on stage again. It was the same thing. This show lasted two hours, but it went by so fast. I hated it. I wanted to feel like I was actually doing something. I couldn't hear their cheers. Everything sounded so quiet. My head was silent and my body felt numb. I didn't understand.
As that show ended, I said goodbye to the people and headed backstage. I started to clean up again, but I suddenly felt like I couldn't hear. My vision went white for a second. I didn't feel anything, but it felt like I was floating, and then it felt like I was sinking. My vision went from white to black. It felt weird, but...it was what I had needed.
Tony's POV
I was working on updating one of my suits when I got a call. I expected it to be someone else, but I was surprised when I saw that Spark was calling me. He never contacted me unless it was an emergency. That's when I realized that something was wrong. I answered quickly.
"Spark, what's going on?"
"Izetta has been brought to the hospital. She passed out after her second show today. I canceled her third show and updated the authorities. There are already stories being put out, Sir. I think your daughter needs you."
