Twisted in Ties (Loki x OC)

Izetta's POV

Peter called Happy as I told him to, but Happy was a little less enthused. He also told Peter about the Avengers Tower move, but that wasn't important at the time. Peter asked to talk to Tony, but I asked if I could have the phone. Peter handed it to me without any arguments.

"Happy, what's up?"

"Miss Izetta! Uh, hello! How are you?"

"Really, Happy? Where's Tony?" I asked. 

"He's currently busy, but-"

"Tell him that we found powerful weapons. Ones I haven't seen before. They're high-tech and not natural. That's a message from Peter and you're going to deliver it as such. I don't want to hear you brushing off our find."

"Yes, Ma'am..." He said somewhat guiltily. 

"Thank you. Peter will call you again if we need to update you." 

"Please feel free not to."

"Happy," I warned.

"Yes, Miss Izetta." 

"Thank you. Goodbye."

"Goodbye." I gave the phone back to Peter as we stopped.

"Oh, man. I need to get back, but your place is so far from mine." I hummed.

"Tell you what, I'll go get your bag, you head home, I'll meet you there! Deal?" He nodded.

"Deal!" He took off and I went the other way, flying there so I could get back faster. I grabbed his backpack and headed back out, hurrying silently and stealthily to his apartment. When I arrived, I was stunned to see Peter arguing with another boy in his underwear. I tossed the bag in, already assuming that this kid had just found out Peter's secret.

"Bad time?" I asked.

"Is that Titania!?"

"SHHH!!" Peter quickly covered the other kid's mouth. "U-uh, Izetta, could you give us a second?" I nodded and waited on the roof. Peter climbed up after a moment.

"Sorry..." I sighed.

"Let me guess, kid's your friend?"

"Best friend. His name's Ned." I nodded.

"He knows now?"

"Yes."

"Promised to stay quiet?"

"Yes."

"Good. Then I'll let it slide."

"I'm so sorry, I- Wait, really?" I nodded with a smile.

"Listen, I never had to hide. Everybody always knew who I was. I know it's probably a lot harder for you, but if you trust this kid, then so do I. Just please be careful. If you ever need anything, you have my number. I'm gonna head back. I need sleep too, you know. I'll be seeing you again soon, Peter. After all, this is your first mission with me."

"Wait, what?" I chuckled.

"We're going to find those guys. I think you're right. Something is up and we should find out what it is. I trust you, but I'm gonna be keeping my eye on you, okay?" He smiled, clearly excited, but he still nodded understandingly.

"Y-yes! Yes, I understand! I won't let you down, Izetta! I promise!" I chuckled again.

"See you soon, Peter." I took off, heading back home for the night. I'll have to look into those weapons and see what I can dig up tomorrow. Something tells me that there's a bigger picture here. I have to keep an eye on Peter, but this might not be as small-time as one might think...
