Izetta's POV
Everyone got their own suits on and got ready to go. I was with Nebula and Nat. Nebula was surprised when she saw my scars. I had to change into a special suit for my transformations. Tony had updated a lot of my stuff. We'd figured out a way to create a special material that shifted with my other form using my crystal instead of a physical suit. I mean, it became physical, of course, but you get what I mean. It was a suit made out of my spell. And the new nano-tech suit he'd made for me was amazing! It hid itself on my body by turning into a triangle like it did for Tony. I loved it.
I made sure my flexible suit fit well first before using my crystal to turn it into normal clothes for now. I double-checked everything to make sure it had worked. Of course, as I finished up, Nebula spoke up about what she had seen.
"What happened to you to get all those?" I turned.
"Uh, a couple of things, but most are from falling from the sky. Others are from battles, to make a long story short." She nodded, seemingly having a lot of respect for that answer.
"...Badass." I paused, but then I grinned.
"Thanks."
"Come on, ladies. Let's get moving," Natasha stated as we both followed after her.
We joined up with the boys and I gave Thor a hug for goodluck. He was thankful for it. I knew this was going to be hard for him and I wished I could go with him, but he was going to have to do this on his own. Still, I encouraged him as much as I could.
"Hey, remember, you can do this. Let's make all this worth it, okay?" He nodded, trying to stand proud.
"Okay. I...I won't let you down." He headed off and I turned to Rocket.
"Keep an eye on him for me, please."
"I will."
I stayed by Tony as we got ready to go. Everything was ready and it was time to fix the universe. On top of that, it was time to fix what Thanos broke. I knew what I was doing was risky, but I had to take a chance. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't try every option I had.
I had to admit, I was scared. I knew how dangerous this could be and it would be chaos if we messed it up. I had to do everything in my power to make sure this went smoothly. My sister had trusted me with the spells, I couldn't let her down either. I had made a lot of promises lately, but now I had my chance to prove I could keep them. I had to prove it, not just to them, but to myself. For me, there was no other option.
"Five years ago, we lost," Steve began his speech. I smiled a little. It felt a lot like old times. It felt good to be a team again. "all of us. We lost friends, we lost family, we lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round-trip each. No mistakes, no do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. That doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives...and we're gonna win. Whatever it takes." I smiled at him, feeling proud and a bit more confident thanks to his speech. I had to admit, he had a knack for it, that was for sure.
"For once, I got nothing to add, Cap." He smiled back at me, clearly glad that he'd done a good job.
"Goodluck."
"He's pretty good at that," Rocket stated.
"Right?" Scott agreed. I chuckled a little at the two, but then it was right back to business. It was time to go. We can do this. I know we can do this. I won't let any of them down.
