Tony's POV

I was up in a matter of seconds. Whatever just happened, it wasn't good. I was currently by myself. Great. Fix the world, get attacked. Sounds typical. Whatever, no time for that. I need to see if anybody else is here. I hope everyone's alright.

I used my suit to pull myself free and clear some of the debris around. I got up and looked around. I didn't see anyone, but that didn't mean I was actually alone.

"Friday, scan for anybody I can't see. Especially people that are alive, preferably."

"There are signs of life down that way, Boss." I turned and I could see someone was pinned under the rubble. However, I couldn't get to them without making it even more dangerous. They were on the other side of probably one of the only walls holding this place together. I tapped in over the radio.

"Hey, can anybody hear me? I've got someone here, but I don't know who it is! Care for a role call people?" I asked, trying to figure out a way to get to whoever was trapped. Of course, not many people responded. But then a voice came in.

"D-don't worry, Dad...just hanging out with broken legs." Her voice was strained with pain.

"Izz!?" I exclaimed, my worry growing instantly.

"Just get me out!!"

"What do you think I'm doing!?" I eventually was able to find an opening. However, I couldn't fit through it. I did have another idea, though. "Okay, Izz! Listen closely."

"Like I have another option?" She retorted.

"I need you to hold perfectly still, I'm gonna blast the rubble to free you. Can you still heal yourself?"

"Once I'm out!"

"Alright. Get ready, Tailwind." She covered her head.

"Go for it!" I fired a blast and the rubble shattered. She pushed herself onto her back and I saw her crystal glow as she healed up. I was relieved.

"Thanks, Dad." She got up, getting her breath back.

"Can you get out of that place?"

"Now that I'm healed up, yeah." She was suddenly right beside me. "Injured teleportation can be risky depending on the situation." I nodded.

"Let's go, kiddo. We need to find out what the hell happened."

"You think?" We both took off together. She used her navigation skills to help us find a safe way out instead of just blasting our way through. Of course, when we made it out, we saw the last thing anybody was hoping would be there.

"...How?" Izetta asked.

"I don't know...but it doesn't matter. Keep an eye on him. I need to check for anyone else. Call if things get hairy." She nodded and transformed into her full form, growling a little, but standing her ground as I went back inside. I have a bad feeling about this.

Izetta's POV

Thor joined me as we waited for Tony to return. This felt familiar to me. I also felt something inside of me that felt unnatural. I couldn't tell exactly what it was, but the other feeling was one I welcomed when looking at the man below us. Unbridled rage was my friend when it came to the revolting heathen that was Thanos.

"...I'm pretty sure I can guess what's going through your head right now." I glanced over at Thor. I took in a deep breath, sighing to keep myself controlled.

"Yeah, well...I'm pretty sure we're feeling the same things."

"It is wrong if I want to hear you say it?" I grinned a little.
