The week flew by quicker than expected and Donghyuck was currently getting ready for the Winter Formal dance at Jaemin's house since the younger was going to do his makeup.

The school day went by like any other school day, Donghyuck buying snacks for Mark again while Renjun shook his head in disbelief but didn't say anything this time since he didn't want to fight with with the younger again. They had just made up, well sort of. They've said before that could never go too long without talking with each other so here they are. It's as if nothing ever happened.

Donghyuck had finished his homework during his last period class so now he was able to take as much time as he needed to get ready for the dance that will occur this evening.

"And~ done!" Jaemin cheered after spraying the setting spray all over Donghyuck face to make sure the makeup stays in place. Donghyuck pushed himself on the Jaemin's chair that rolled to the vanity mirror, the older admiring the work the younger had done. Jaemin had really outdone himself.

"Wow," Donghyuck said in awe, not being able to believe that the person sitting in front of that mirror is himself. "Are you sure that's me?!"

Jaemin giggled at the older's reaction while nodding his head in confirmation. Everything about Donghyuck's outfit coincided with well each other. The faint blush on his cheeks, the eye liner which winged the sides of his eyes, and the light pink lipstick smudged on his lips complimented Donghyuck's pink sparkly suit jacket well.

"That's all you, baddie," Jaemin responded and Donghyuck's lips formed a wide smile. "Mark is going to be at a loss for words once he sees you."

"You think?" Donghyuck turned to look at the younger who smiled warmly and nodded. "I do."

Donghyuck waited for Jaemin to finish his own makeup. Renjun was with his cousin who was freaking out about how he should do his hair, the older just telling the fourteen year older to chill.

"But you don't understand! He asked me to the formal. I have to look my absolute best!" The rainbow haired boy exclaimed while Renjun sighed.

"Just do it like you always do," Renjun told him and Chenle shook his head. "You don't understand!"

"I swear you're just like Hyuck sometimes," Renjun pinched the bridge of his nose. He was wearing black pants and a white button up shirt, nothing too crazy.

Chenle puffed his cheeks, stepping in front of Renjun with his arms crossed. "Don't compare me to him! He's lovestruck!"

Renjun snorted. "And you're not?"

Chenle scoffed and went back to the bathroom to fix his hair, deciding to curl it as Renjun waited so that they can leave and pick up the others.

Mark finished dressing himself in white pants and a black button up shirt, a tie was loosely hung around his neck. He fixed his hair, his bangs laying over top of his forehead. He slid on his shoes and opened the door of his room, seeing Yejun sitting patiently in the kitchen for something to eat.

Mark searched for something to make the small boy, but they were stuck with eating toast for the third time this week. The older toasted some bread and poured a cup of milk for the younger, grabbing him a bag of chips. Once the bread came out, he spread one slice with butter and the other slide with peanut butter. He set the plate in front of Yejun on the table along with his cup.

He checked the time that was set on the microwave, realizing that it was time for him to leave to the winter formal that he's dreading to go to.

"Remember, Yejun. Don't open the door to anyone. I have the key and so do mom and dad. When you finish eating, go to your room. Okay?" Mark informed his baby brother who nodded his head. This wasn't the first time he was left alone in the house.

Mark hated it. He hated leaving his baby brother alone in the house. Anything could happen and that was something that worried him. Mark didn't want to go to this dance, but it was mandatory for seniors since it would be their last year in the high school.

He tried so many ways to get out of going but none of them worked. He wished his parents would come home to take care of their son, like what actual parents would do instead of just leaving him behind just to spend money on unnecessary things.

"I already set the house phone up in your room. If anything happens, call me. You remember my number right?" Mark questioned.

"Yes," Yejun said and proceeded to recite the older's number by memory.

"Okay, good. I'll be back as soon as I can," Mark told him before kissing the little boys head and leaving the house, making sure to lock the door behind him.

Mark suddenly became startled when he heard a car horn behind him. He turned around to see the one person he never wanted to see in his life, Donghyuck.

"Come on! Get in!" Donghyuck gestured with his hands, telling the older to come in the car instead of walking.

Renjun was the one driving and Donghyuck was in the passenger seat while Chenle and Jaemin were in the back seat.

"I'm okay," Mark said and continued to walk, but Donghyuck wouldn't budge and shouted Mark's name again over and over again until the older finally gave in and opened the car door, taking a seat as Jaemin wiggled himself over to sit in the middle.

"Are you excited?!" Donghyuck asked enthusiastically and Mark only shrugged his shoulders, everyone else staring at each other while the tanned male smiled.

"Well I sure am!" Donghyuck stated and Renjun tuned up the radio a bit which Mark was thankful since now the tanned male was singing instead of talking to him throughout the rest of the car ride.

He can't stand having conversations, especially not with people he doesn't like at all. All this was happening while Mark worried over what was happening at home with Yejun and if he was okay.

He must be okay since he hasn't called.....

Right?
