Mark didn't want to be in a relationship with Donghyuck. Not unless he came clean about everything. He told the younger everything. He started off with his parents and slowly crept into his disorder.
He wants the younger to understand him better. He wants to communicate more with him, otherwise, this relationship will just go down the drain.
"Hearing certain noises bother me. I get annoyed with them very easily and I don't mean to, but sometimes I just snap," Mark explained.
"Like my rings?" Donghyuck brought up past events and Mark nodded his head while looking down.
"Hey, no need to be ashamed of it. If I would have known, I would have tried to be more cautious about it," Donghyuck responded with sincerity.
"It's okay really. How were you supposed to know if I never told anybody?" Mark chuckled to himself.
"Well now I know. And I'm going to help you as much as I possibly can. Have you ever tried going to therapy?" The younger asked.
"Yeah, but I stopped going when my parents started using their money for well you know....their own entertainment. I haven't seen them in months, but I hope they're okay," Mark said, his voice sounding small and if the situation weren't serious, Donghyuck would have cooed out loud.
Mark could go from the most confident person to the most softest and quiet person you'd ever meet. Donghyuck loved that about him. He loved how comfortable Mark was feeling around himself. He really outdid himself, honestly.
It may not seem like it, but having this hugest crush on the older worked out for Donghyuck well.
"Try not to worry too much. Everything will be alright," Donghyuck assured him.
"Yeah, but it's hard. You know how hard it was to take care of Yejun all by myself? Especially when I'm already a mess?" Mark's eyes were spilling tears for the nth time today and Donghyuck felt terrible.
Who knows how long Mark has been holding everything in.
"Poor Yejun too. He was all alone when I was not home. He was there when people broke in and who knows what they did to him. I wasn't there to stop it from happening!" Mark cried.
"But you aren't alone anymore, none of you are. You have your grandparents. Your friends. You have me," Donghyuck assured the boy.
"And as long as I'm here, I won't let that happen again. I'm going to be here for you, I'm going to be your shoulder to cry on. But for now, you have to be strong for yourself and Yejun. Sometimes the meaning of being strong, is showing your weaknesses too. It's perfectly okay, no one will judge you for being human," Donghyuck continued.
"That's not what I was told. Being strong means I can't show any weakness that people could use against me," Mark protested with a sniffle, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hands.
"That can be true, but without living up to your weaknesses, you can't be strong. You have to know what they are, in order to overcome them," Donghyuck exclaimed and Mark listened carefully to the younger's words.
How could someone sound so intelligent at such a young age? Mark was envious, but not in a bad way. He was extremely grateful for the younger. Donghyuck allows Mark to see things in a different perspective than he first perceived.

In the blink of an eye, it was summer break and a lot has happened.
First and foremost, Mark's grandfather had left the picture, off to find the man he truly wanted to be with. To Mark's surprise, he wasn't angry. He was actually glad that his grandfather will finally get a chance to be happy. Everybody should be able have that chance.
It was way better for him too because he didn't have to deal with him constantly ridicuing him any second he gets.
Secondly and unfortunately, Mark's grandmother was unwell. Even though she said she was feeling fine, both Mark and Donghyuck knew better.
Donghyuck was always over to help take care of Mark's grandma with him, making her soup, doing the laundry, taking care of Yejun, everything. He wanted to do everything in his power to make sure she was comfortable.
However, she would always refuse any help. That didn't stop the tanned male though. She did her very best to convince them all that she was okay and the only one who she thought could convince was Yejun.
But as sad as it sounds, even Yejun understood she wasn't in the best of health.
Donghyuck had grown a deep attachment to Mark's grandmother as well as with Yejun and Mark.
They recently started taking grandmother to the hospital once a week to get checked up just about a month ago, in hopes of receiving some medications to help her.
Thirdly, Yejun had graduation in his daycare with his best friends San and Wooyoung. They became closer than before.
His teacher that had physically and verbally abused him, lost her job and was sentenced for years in prison.
Lastly, Mark was accepted into Donghyuck's group of friends. It surely took quite a while to gain their trust, especially Renjun's being the overprotective best friend that he was, but eventually they grew fond of the older.
"Pay up, bitches!" Chenle raised his hand in the air.
This was the reaction given when the friend group had found out Donghyuck and Mark were together. Lucas, Jaemin, Renjun, and Jeno each gave ten bucks to the rainbow haired boy.
"No fair! How come Jisung doesn't pay when he lost too?!" Lucas complained with a pout, Jaemin kissing the older's cheek and rubbing his shoulder.
"He will pay. Just not now," Chenle turned to Jisung and winked at him, causing the youngest to blush madly and hide his face in his palms.
"Woah there! No, no! You are children!" Jaemin protested.
"My child will not be participating in any of the sort," Jeno added.
"Chenle don't even think about it," Renjun lifted a brow towards the younger who just laughed at everybody's reaction.
"Relax! You guys are so dirty minded. What have you guys been doing?" Chenle chuckled and gave a skeptic look, causing everybody else to avert their eyes elsewhere.
"Naughty teenagers." Chenle tsked and when everybody was too busy to pay attention to him and Jisung, the older of the two whispered in the other's ear.
Jisung backed up, his cheeks flushed. Donghyuck eyed the two and snorted. Mark looked at Donghyuck as they were both still standing in front of their friend's in the cafeteria.
"Are they rea-"
"Hell no. Chenle doesn't even know how it works. Jisung will pay with ten kisses on the cheek, that's all," Donghyuck assured the older who nodded his head, but looked back at the two youngest.
"Hyuck, I don't know..." Mark said with uneasiness and with that, Donghyuck glanced at the two, eye's widening when he saw Chenle's hand on Jisung's thigh and vise versa.
"Oh hell no!" Donghyuck stomped over to the two, grabbing Chenle by his ear who screeched in protest.
"Jeno grab your child and taint his mind with fluffy stuffed animals!" Donghyuck yelled as he dragged Chenle out of the cafeteria.
