Chapter 72

"Whatever she is...we can stop her together. We can face her together," He insisted.

"No, we won't," Odin told him. "I'm on a different path now. This you must face alone." I didn't have anything to say. "I love you, my sons." I simply looked away, leaving them be. I felt a bit out of place, honestly, but I did want to be there for Thor. However, I saw the look on Loki's face when I glanced back up. Something about it made the old, familiar pain in my chest return. I ignored it as it attempted to start eating away at me again. 

Odin pointed out somewhere beyond the cliff. "Look at that." We all turned toward where he was pointing, only seeing water. "Remember this place...home." Then, he disappeared. We all stood as a golden energy drifted out beyond the cliff and vanished into the air, carried off by the wind. 

It was only a moment before thunder and clouds started brewing above us. I looked up and then looked at Thor, seeing how he was breathing heavily and clearly upset. Loki got nervous. I would've been more nervous if I hadn't already known who his anger was directed at.

"Brother..." Thor glared at him.

"This was your doing." For a moment I thought he was going to attack Loki, but a glowing green portal opened behind all of us.

"Boys...we have a problem." Thor turned to me.

"Izetta, will you stand with me?" I looked at him. I transformed into my Amalgamate self. 

"Someone has to." He nodded. We strode forward together as Loki used his powers to turn back into his regular outfit and Thor did the same using his lighting. I was a little surprised to see that the umbrella had been Mjolnir, but I didn't question it. 

A woman strode forward. She had black hair and her eyes were painted with dark makeup. Her hair was messy and long. Honestly, she kind of looked like Loki, but not really at the same time. Who's the adopted one again? I didn't dare say that out loud at the moment. She nodded a little as she looked over us.

"So he's gone." We said nothing. "That's a shame. I would've liked to have seen that."

"Well, next time get a portal that opens on time. I heard realm traffic was closed today, though, so if you don't mind heading back to wherever that hole led, that would be great," I remarked. She smirked.

"Clever. I like that." I hummed slightly with a bit of self-pride, but Thor jumped in after that.

"You must be Hela. I'm Thor, son of Odin."

"Really? You don't look like him." Loki tuned in right after.

"Perhaps we can come to an arrangement."

"You sound like him." She turned to me. "And you? Hmm, no your not one of his. From another realm, are we? You have godly origins, not that I really care. Let me guess, you're one of these two fools' little toys?" I growled angrily.

"I belong to no one."

"Ooh, struck a nerve, hmm?"

"I wouldn't recommend it," Thor told her. She didn't react much.

"Kneel." 

"Beg your pardon?" Loki asked. She summoned a long blade out of nowhere.

"Kneel," She repeated. "before your queen." 

"I don't think so." Thor threw his hammer, but she caught it effortlessly. I stepped back in disbelief. Oh, shit! He couldn't even call it back! 

"It's not possible!" Thor exclaimed.

"Darling...you have no idea what's possible." I quickly shielded both of them as she destroyed it with one hand. I pulled my wings back, shocked. Loki and Thor looked stunned as well. Loki looked scared more than anything else. 

"Bring us back!"

"No!!" Thor and I couldn't react fast enough as all of us were beamed back. Thor looked past us. "Loki! Izetta!" She was right behind us. I growled, knowing I could realm travel on my own. I dove back down, attacking her.

"Izetta, no!" I heard Loki call after me. I tried to take her out of the Bifrost with me, but she was able to throw me off. I screamed as I fell out of the Bifrost.

"IZETTA!!" The last thing I heard was both boys screaming my name before I fell through space. I instantly had flashes of myself falling through the air toward Earth. My breath hitched as tears started to come back. However, I didn't have time for that. 

I snapped out of it to find myself hurtling down toward heaps of garbage. I didn't have time to catch myself, but I did have enough time to brace. I curled into a ball, yelping in pain as I tumbled onto the ground. 

I shook myself off soon enough and tried to regain my barrings. Okay, never been here before. Not that I'm going to be here long. The boys are probably on Asgard. I need to realm travel there and help them. I might hate Loki for everything he's done, but I'm not going to let a different bitch kill him before I do.

I was just about to get my magic ready when a ship suddenly came flying over to me. I paused, ready to fight in case it was an enemy. Don't look too hostile. They might be able to help me, after all. I sat down, waiting patiently as they landed. I saw a woman come out of it, bottle in hand.

"...You're a funny-looking thing, aren't you?" I decided to ignore her comment and nodded to her.

"Hello. What's your name?"

"You can talk?" I transformed back into my human form. I mean, she looked human, after all. 

"Yes. I'm not from here. Listen, I need some help. I don't mean to intrude or be demanding in any way, but could you tell me where I am? I need to get to a place called Asgard. My friends are in trouble there."

"Asgard? Well, not like I care. You're coming with me." I paused.

"Have I done something wrong, Ma'am? I'll be leaving right away if I'm not supposed to be here. I can realm travel on my own using my crystal. It's not an issue."

"No, you haven't done anything wrong, but if you have power like that, the boss will definitely want to see you." Alright, that's enough. I transformed back and took off into the air.

"Sorry, but I'm done waiting. I'm not going to sit here and let my friends die. Well...friend and his ass of a brother, anyway."

"Sorry, not gonna happen. She suddenly aimed a blaster at me. I dodged it, but then I felt something in my neck. My body seized up in an instant and I fell back to the ground, blacking out from whatever the device was that shocked me. Thor...Loki...have to...get back...
