Chapter 77

"...Ow..." When I woke, I was chained up in a green and white room. With all of the booze, it didn't take me long to figure out where I was. I was alone, however. Still, I had no way to free myself. Damn...

I sighed heavily, but there wasn't much else to do besides sit and wait while trying to think of a plan. If she's gone off to retrieve them, maybe she's going to side with them. I could try to break my way out of this yet. Still, I heard an echo in my head. It was a voice I knew well. One that had whispered such caring things to me, but now all her words held were pain and hatred. 

"The minute you're confronted with your cons and your lies, you disappear, running from your faults and your mistakes to forget all the chaos you've created."

You just...you don't understand...I want you to understand.

"You're a liar, you're a cheat, you're a coward, and you've never cared about anything unless it's what you have to lose."

That's not true...it...it's not...

"You never cared."

No...whatever you think of me, I need you to know that's not what it was. I have to tell you. I can't let you leave without knowing I told you the truth... Please let me tell you the truth...

Izetta's POV

"The sun's going down. It's getting real low. The sun's going down. It's getting real low." Bruce was still stressing and Thor's continuous chants were not helping.

"Would you stop saying that!?" 

"I just need you to stay calm." 

"Calm!? I'm on an alien planet!"

"It's just a planet. You've been on a planet before."

"Yeah! One!"

"Now you've been on two. That's a good thing. It's a new experience."

"My neurons, they're firing faster than my brain can handle the information. The whole thing is totally different this time."

"Bruce, listen, it's going to be fine. We're here to help you." I said as we all sat down together.

"In the past, I always felt like Hulk and I each had a hand on the wheel, but this time it's like he had the keys and I was locked in the trunk." 

"Hey, it's alright. We're not gonna let that happen again." 

"You're back now, that's all that matters!" Thor agreed.

"No, it's not what matters! What I'm trying to tell you, is that if I turn into the Hulk again, Banner may never come back. And we're stranded on a planet that is designed to stress me out!" 

"We're not stranded, I'm gonna figure out a way to get us home."

"Yeah, and we're going to work together to make it happen," I agreed.

"Not your home, though. Asgard," Thor stated.

"What?" Bruce asked.

"Listen, my people are in great danger. You, Izetta, and I, we have to fight this really powerful being who also happens to be my sister."

"Okay, that is so wrong on so many...I don't wanna fight your sister! That's a family issue."

"While you're right. We still need to help the people of Asgard. After that, you and I can head back to Earth together."

"Exactly! Besides, she's an evil being!" Thor told him.

"I don't care what she is. I'm not fighting any more beings. I'm sick of it. I just told you! If I turn into the Hulk, I am never gonna come back again. And you don't care."
