"Come on, boys. It's not far from here. Should be a short drive." We followed after her and got into her car. It somewhat believed it was only a short drive because she liked to drive fast. Loki had held on during a few of the turns. Natasha was grinning, clearly enjoying rattling my brother.
"Don't like my driving?" She asked. "You've ridden with worse!"
"I am perfectly fine!" He snapped, clearly embarrassed. I laughed a bit as we arrived soon enough. Loki was quick to get out of the car and straighten his jacket. He cleared his throat, acting casual. "That was nothing." I chuckled.
"Whatever you say, brother."
"Just this way, boys." Natasha led us onward as we soon met up with the rest of the team. We saw the Vision and Wanda first. They smiled as we came over.
"Thor, it is good to see you again." I smiled as I shook Vision's hand. It was a relief to see him just being himself without the Mind Stone. Izetta's power had finished what the people of Wakanda had started and revived him in the process.
"You two, my friend."
"Though, I bet you aren't staying long," Wanda added.
"No, but it will be nice to spend time with you all again. The Avengers are certainly changing, but I suppose it's time to pass on the mantle, hmm?"
"If you believe it so, my friend." They spotted Loki afterward. "Oh, Loki, God of Mischief, as I've heard. We haven't met." Vision held out his hand. "I am Vision. Your brother helped bring me into this reality." Loki looked at me questioningly, but I waved it off, signaling that I would explain later.
"Uh, yes, good to meet you."
"Come on. I bet Tony is getting impatient by now." Nat stated as all of us kept going.
"Last I heard of you, you weren't very friendly. What made you change your mind, Loki?" Wanda asked.
"Well...there were many reasons, but the main one is the person who brought your friend there back," Loki said, nodding to Vision. They both nodded somewhat sadly.
"Izetta was good," Wanda stated.
"Yes," Vision agreed. "she was, indeed, one of the best of us all. I still regret not getting a chance to thank her."
"...A lot of people may regret that for a long time," Loki added.
"You can say that again," Natasha sighed.
We went to meet with my friends for brunch and we had a lovely time together. I enjoyed seeing old faces and some of the newer ones. Getting to know the newer Avengers was very nice. Scott was definitely a character and it was interesting to see the dynamic of Wilson and Barnes. Clint had brought his daughter to play with Morgan. The two were having a good time together since they had already finished their food. All of us were more so relaxing and talking.
I told Tony about things I had learned about Izetta. I didn't tell him who I'd learned it from. Loki was still a bit wary about Stark knowing there had ever been something between them. They really hadn't asked about that, of course, but that was expected since he'd been a bit overlooked by everyone during the battle. That's how Loki claimed to prefer it too. He didn't mind being in the background anymore. I assumed it was also just a part of him needing time.
"It's nice to talk about her again," Tony said. I nodded, smiling as little Morgan ran around with one of her toys while Lila chased after her. "Hey, honey, what did we say? Careful, please."
"Okay, Dad." She kept playing with Lila, but they were being a little gentler now. I chuckled.
"Maybe one day she'll be just like her big sister," I said.
