"So, y'all coming round to help at the yard later?" Apple Jack glanced around the group, awaiting each person's reaction.
The entirety of the group except Twilight, nodded, and filled the air with "Yes" and "Mmmhmmm".
"Sorry Apple Jack, I'd love to, but I can't today. I promised Flash I'd support him at his audition for a record deal..." Twilight smiled weakly.
"Don't worry, it's okay Twilight." Apple Jack nodded. "Tell Flash, good luck."
"And from me!!!" Pinkie squealed.
"From all of us." Rarity announced, and the group nodded.
"I'll let him know." She smiled at the support he had from everyone.Twilight walked by Flash's side as they, and the band approached a small brick building which was placed in the middle of the town. The band carried their instruments whilst Twilight took in every inch of her surroundings. The building stood almost awkwardly, surrounded by far taller creations which reached upwards. The bricks were cracked, and some were split, causing ivy to peek through the gaps. Paint from the door was peeling and covering the pavement. Flash opened the door and held it for Twilight who hurried inside before waiting for everyone else to catch up.
Inside, they made their way down an outstretched, dimmed corridor. The walls were covered in royal red which highlighted the black records pinned to the wall. Framed signed pictures, record deals, and other objects all hung on the wall. At the end of the corridor, there was a mini reception where the woman sat at the desk directed them into a nearby room.
In the room stood 3 people, their arms crossed until they noticed the entrance full of the band, and Twilight.
"Hello!" One of them announced, greeting everyone, encouraging the other two to drop their arms to their sides and smile.
Twilight retreated to the back of the room feeling a little uncomfortable in her environment and took a seat on an empty office chair. She reminded herself that she was there for Flash, and sat politely watching the friendly introductions from afar.
"And who's this?" One of the record dealers announced, gesturing towards Twilight.
"She's my-" Flash hesitated, the word girlfriend lingering on the tip of his tongue. "Friend... She's here to support us."
"Hi..." She mumbled, a small wave paired with her voice. She looked down and awaited the band's start.
Eventually, much to Twilight's relief, the band started up one of their songs. Twilight's head shot up, and she sat bobbing her head, and tapping her feet whilst her eyes remained glued on Flash. She felt her heart tug, and she decided. She wanted to be with him. She'd forget his mistakes. She cared for him too much... She had to tell him she loved him.
