A Shimmer Of A Flashing Twilight

'Rainbow' sighed in annoyance as she scurried down the corridor.
Why does this Rainbow Dash girl have to be so hard to play. I knew I should have done a bit of spying research before I went and shifted into her straight away!
She groaned, and folded her arms as she walked. They're so useless. She thought sourly of her fellow sisters when they tried to hatch a plan. If they had just listened to me in the first place, this could have all been avoided! 
Her thoughts were interrupted by a male voice calling her name... Or rather, Rainbows name. She almost didn't answer, completely forgetting for a few seconds that she was Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow!" The voice called again.
She looked up to see Flash Sentry waving at her as he walked over, a smile lit up on her face. Perfect time for some manipulation.
"Hey." She smiled back.
"You okay?" Flash tilted his head. "You seem stressed."
"Just had a hectic day!" She answered quickly without thought. "So I heard the thing with you and Twilight went down pretty bad...?" 
He sighed and looked down shuffling his feet awkwardly. "She talked to you then?" He paused. "Yeah it was pretty bad, and painful."
Rainbow smiled softly. "You know, they've only been together for-" She scratched her head realising she hadn't a clue so took a guess. "A few days. It may not last! You never know what could happen if you get friendly with Twilight again."
Flash frowned. "Why are you so eager to get me back with Twilight anyway? Besides, I'm not going to be the one to break them up, they're happy together. If Twilight is happy, I'm happy."
"Are you sure about that because I can talk to Twilight and I-"
"Just, leave it, okay?" She was interrupted by Flash who rolled his eyes. "I'm going to find Sunset, please just let them be happy." He walked away, and Rainbow bit her lip.
Crap. Turns out I'm not as good as manipulation as I thought. I'm not very subtle. 
"Sunset?" She called out after him, but he didn't hear her call out. Why would he want Sunset Shimmer?  Searching through her brain, she remembered as her and her sisters had watched Sunset and Flash together. Oh.
Set out on what felt like a mission, Rainbow followed Flash, making sure to stay covered within the shadows, she watched as Flash hunted for Sunset until finally Rainbow was forced to stay behind a corner. Peering round; Sunset and Flash were stood talking to one another.

"Long time no see, eh?" Sunset chuckled. "I'm glad you're back. I missed you."
"I have to admit, I missed you too." He smiled, leaning on the wall next to him.
"How are you doing? I know coming back here didn't end up being the exciting event you planned." She bit her lip anxiously feeling bad for him. "Sorry about that."
He shook his head. "Man, does everybody know about that?"
"News spreads quickly around here." She shrugged. 
"I'm okay,  I suppose it must have happened for a reason. As long as Twilight is happy. It hurt, but if she can move on, I can move on too, right?"
"Absolutely. Maybe, you were just supposed to be with someone else?" Sunset suggested.
"Maybe." He smiled warmly at her, his cheeks flushing a little. "Sunset..."
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?"
"I don't know, what are you thinking?" Flash quizzed out of curiosity.
"That we still have feelings for one another, and now that Twilight has moved on you're going to suggest we try and rekindle our relationship." She folded her arms. "Because if that's the case, I'd need to think on that."
He blushed a deeper red. "Okay, okay... I was thinking that maybe we could try, but I- I don't know."
Sunset giggled. "You know I'd love to be your girlfriend Flash, but are you sure you want to move on this fast, and what about Twilight?"
He listened to every word she said and nodded in agreement. "I'd make sure to check with Twilight if it was okay, of course. And well, we could try to rekindle this and if we're not ready... Take a break.
I'm sorry if this is sudden." He admitted. "But after seeing Twilight with Fireshot, I realised how ready I was for a relationship and when I heard your name, I felt... Flustered and warm..." He scratched his neck awkwardly. "Twilight and I split for a reason, and after our previous encounter I do really think that you're the one."

Rainbow's eyes widened. This isn't right. This is not supposed to happen! Before she could hear the rest of the conversation, she spun on her heels and headed out of the school to alert her fellow sisters.
