"Fire!" Twilight called out towards her friend. As he looked round towards her, she smiled sheepishly and waved.
Fire had just finished his class and had been strolling around the school. Twilight hurried over to him and grinned. "Hey!"
"Hey." He smiled. "What can I do for you?"
"I'd like to take you up on your offer." She announced. "I want to talk."
"Really?" He raised an eyebrow. "Why me of all people?"
"First of all..." Twilight laughed. "You offered. And second, we don't know each other that much. You won't give me an answer based on me. It will be just based on your honest opinion."
"Okay then, follow me m'lady." He chuckled jokingly, offering his arm which Twilight linked into. They walked together arm in arm towards the outside dining area hidden at the back of the school.
Neither of them having noticed Rainbow watching them from across the corridor, dumbfounded.
Perching herself on the wall outside, Fire joining her she closed her eyes taking in the sunlight.
"Okay..." She took a deep breath, and she placed her hand over the pick on her necklace. Fireshot looked up towards her. "Where to begin... Ever since Flash left, my conscience has been going crazy! I feel like I can't do anything. I feel so guilty for everything, especially talking to you. I miss him so much, does that mean I shouldn't move on for ages?"
Fire smiled softly. "Twilight, you have every right to move on." He took her hand. "But you need to move on when you're ready. You'll know when you are ready to do so and no one else will be able to tell you that you are. Different people take different amounts of time. Just don't let it tear you apart, okay?"
She nodded. "Okay. Thank you. I'll keep that in mind."
"Hey, Twilight..." Fireshot began. "Is it true? Are you going back to Ponyville?"
Twilight bit her lip. "I was thinking about it, yes."
"So it's not certain?" He asked hopefully. "I was hoping you could stick around a little longer at least. I'd like to get to know you more."
Twilight sat up and felt her guilty conscience fly away. "I'd like that." She beamed. "I'll stay. For now."
"Good." Fire heaved a sigh of relief.
"Something you're hiding from me?" Twilight smirked.
Fire blushed. "Not at all! I just- Well, I would have missed you that's all."
"Lucky for you I'm staying." She clapped her hands and jumped down from the wall, stumbling a little, but Fire caught her before she could fall.
"Careful!" Fire called out to her. After she had steadied herself, he looked into her eyes as she looked up at him. "I made a promise to Flash y'know. I promised I would look after you, and I will."
Twilight blushed, and raised an eyebrow. "He asked you to do that?"
"I offered." He corrected her.
"That's sweet of you. I-" She bowed her head. "I'll need it. It's so strange not having him around."
"I'm here if you need me Twi." Fire pointed out. "No matter the case."
She fell into his arms and hugged him. "You're an amazing friend, thank you so much!"
Fire grinned. "You were my first friend here! I owe you the thank you."
As they pulled away, Fire planted a kiss onto her cheek.
Twilight looked up at him, her eyes wide. "I- uh, I best get going..." She hurried away to the school.
"Wait! Twilight!" Fire called desperately which triggered her to turn around.
"Yes?" She questioned.
"Never mind." He shook his head. "I'll see you around."
Twilight smiled and nodded. "Bye Fire."
'What on earth just happened?' She thought to herself. 'Why did he do that? Does he secretly have a crush on me? Surely that's the only explanation for him acting so... Overcome...'
She groaned and shook her head. 'What have I done!'
"What have you been up to then?" Rainbow's voice was loud and clear as she stepped infront of Twilight. "I saw you and Fire. Is there something-"
"No! I was just talking to him!" She was quick to defend herself.
"Look if you like him, it's okay to admit it." Rainbow folded her arms expectantly before seeing Twilight's almost confused expression. "It looks like you need a talk with our friends, come on." Gently tugging on Twilight's arm, she pulled her to where their friends remained.---------------------------------------------
A/N - After this is finished, I am going to make a sequel, however I was wondering if there was anything else people would like me to make a book about. It could be anything from MLP, but it could even be anything outside of it if you wanted it to be.
