A Shimmer Of A Flashing Twilight

"You seem distracted..."
Flash was staring out of the plane window dazed as his thoughts were occupied with Twilight, excited to see her and see her reaction. He hoped she wouldn't have left to go home yet, but he believed strongly she would have hung around for a little longer. He was sure he'd catch her in time.
All his fellow band members had been attempting to talk to him, but he had been in such a daze that he hadn't noticed until that moment.
"Sorry, man I was think about Twi."
"Don't worry!" His friend chuckled. "She's going to be delighted when she sees you!"
Flash smiled. "I hope so."

Time passed in what seemed like years as Flash spent the rest of the journey listening to his music and staring through the window. Thoughts whizzing through his mind. As the plane landed his stomach was caught it knots, the time was coming closer.
After they collected their bags, the taxi ride home seemed to take forever, only causing him to feel more and more anxious. His friends were going to drop off his things at home whilst he returned to Canterlot High to surprise Twilight.

Pulling up outside the school, Flash pushed open the door after he had received a strong reassuring pat on the back. "Good luck."
"Thanks!" He laughed.
Looking around he took in all his surroundings, the air was warm and he had taken off his jacket. Stairs to the school loomed in front of him. Taking a deep breath, he began to climb. His palm touched the glass door and he peered inside, the corridors were full of chattering students, all his friends.
He pushed open the door.

Twilight lent against the locker with an eyebrow raised. "You really want to use me?"
"Why shouldn't I want to use you?" Fire quizzed, he tilted his head as he placed his books into the locker.
"Because I'm not photogenic." She laughed.
"You don't have to be, it's only going to be the back of you in the distance." He added. "Come on, please? I have to do something for photography. I didn't really want to do that subject."
"Seen as you asked so nicely!" Twilight chuckled. "I'll do it... But just this once."
"Thank you!" Fire grinned. "I owe you."
"You owe me big time." She folded her arms. "But I'm happy to help." A smile lit up her face.
"Any plans this weekend?" She added.
"No..." He shook his head as he closed his locker and turned the key. "Not yet anyway. Hopefully I will have in a few minutes."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Twilight took a few steps towards him now she had the room and wasn't blocked by the locker door.
"We could all go out together. I know you've wanted to spend some time with friends and I've been taking up a lot of your time so I was hoping I could get to know your friends a little better. That way, you could also spend time with them." He suggested.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea Fire." Twilight took one of his hands. "I'm sure my friends would love to. Thank you."
"Any time!" He pressed his lips to Twilight's causing her to respond instantly. They had only been together for a few days, she didn't feel love like she had for Flash yet, but she knew she plenty of time.

"Hey Flash!"
"Hey!"
"Woah, you're back?"
"Welcome home buddie!"
All of Flash's friends welcomed him back at every turn, he's smile and wave back, but his mind was focused on Twilight. That was when he heard her.
"I'm happy to help!" Her voice echoed in his ears and he peered round the corner to see Twilight down the corridor standing by a locker with Fireshot.
He smiled to himself, glad to see she was still helping people out.
She was stood with her back to him, Fire was completely focused on Twilight to notice Flash coming out from the corner, ready to call to Twilight.
Fire was discussing hanging out with Twilight's friends and that's when Flash began to feel nervous.
Fire bent down towards Twilight's face and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, and to Flash's horror, Twilight responded.
"Twi!" He gasped.
Twilight stepped back from Fire, and spun around to see Flash standing there. Her eyes widening, the situation all too familiar, but reversed.
