"I can't believe that happened." Sunset shook her head as the friends made their way into the sports hall. Twilight had been telling the remainder of her friends what had happened when she had collapsed onto the floor, also explaining her nightmare to them which Rainbow had been strangely curious about, but also agreeing that it was just a simple nightmare.
Twilight hadn't had time to find Fireshot yet as Principal Celestia had called the entire school into the hall before she had had chance.
"Are you sure you're okay Twilight?" Fluttershy asked worried.
Twilight nodded smiling warmly. "I'm fine now, don't worry about it."
They continued their way into the hall and were met with a large crowd of people all chattering, everyone was discussing theories of what they could have been called in for. No one had to wait long as barely seconds after the friends had entered someone knocked on the microphone and called out "Quiet!" to get everyone's attention.
"Now everybody, I'm sorry I had to disrupt your social time to announce this, but me and Principal Luna wanted this to be a sudden surprise." Celestia smiled and put her hands together. "You have all worked extremely hard this term, I'm sure we can agree and after the success of all of our previous events I thought it would be a good time to hold another event for all you hard working students. So, I am happy to announce that we will be holding a party for all students this Friday night at 7!"
The hall erupted with sounds of chatter and Twilight felt arms around her, she turned around startled to see Fireshot smiling, a look of relief on his face.
"I got a text from Apple Jack telling me what happened!" He checked over her face and head worried. "I'm glad you're okay!"
Twilight smiled. "Don't worry, I'm good!"
Celestia and Luna hurried off the stage to allow the students to discuss the party and made their way back to their offices.
Fireshot straightened himself up. "I don't know if it's the right time, but I figured I'd go for it now..." He bit his lip. "Would you like to come to the party with me?"
Twilight's head became full of a memory from what felt like a long time ago to her.
Twilight rushed over to Flash and threw her arms around him before realising what she was doing and pulling away. Her face turned a bright red as she felt heat stinging her face, she glanced up at Flash who's face appeared calm and collected.
He grinned at her reaction. "What was I going to do? Not prove your innocence? I wouldn't be much of a 'Canterlot Wondercolt' now would I?"
Twilight remembered Principal Luna leaving as she stood by Flash's side.
"I was wondering..." Flash began anxiously. "If you weren't already going with someone, want to go the fall formal with me tomorrow night?"
The memory was very clear to her, almost as if it was yesterday, but it felt like years ago. She looked towards Fireshot who was smiling hopefully. She thought about Flash and how she'd rushed out after realising it was tomorrow, and she still felt terrible about it. But, that part of her life was over now. As she looked at Fire, a weak smile made it's way onto her face.
"Sure."
