A Shimmer Of A Flashing Twilight

Twilight sighed and rested her head on Fire's shoulder. "It's been a long day."
He nodded in agreement. "Sorry you had to go through that."
Twilight shook her head. "It's okay, it's really not your fault. I had to face Flash, and it's all sorted out now." She smiled weakly and took Fire's hand. "Let's not worry about it, yeah?"
After a brief smile at one another, they turned the group of friends they were sat with.
"I can't believe that happened!" Rarity put her head in her hands. "We had no idea he was going to come back."
"It was a real surprise." Twilight groaned. "Exactly what he wanted... Oh, it was horrible."
"I'm sorry Twilight..." Fluttershy smiled softly. "We know it would have been hard."
Rainbow folded her arms. "So, what are you going to do about it?"
"Hm?" Twilight tilted her head.
"Is anything going to happen with Flash?" Rainbow squinted her eyes curiously.
"No." The princess stated simply. "I'm with Fireshot..."
Rainbow frowned before standing up.
"Where are you goin'?" Apple Jack called to her.
"To find Flash!" She turned to walk away, but Apple Jack caught her arm first.
"And why is that?" Apple Jack raised an eyebrow. "Are you feeling okay? You seem on edge."
"I'm fine!" Rainbow snapped pulling her arm away.
Pinkie Pie gasped. "Rainbow! You have a tattoo!" She pointed at Rainbow's arm causing everyone to stare at Rainbow's arm. Rainbow quickly covered it up with her hand.
"Oh- um, yeah..." She bit her lip before rushing away leaving her friends confused.
"I swear I've seen that tattoo somewhere before..." Twilight announced, she shook her head dismissing it. "What do you think is up with her?"
"I have no idea..." Rarity looked towards her. "She's never been that arrogant before."
Twilight groaned as an agonising stab of pain entered her head, causing her to hold her head in her hands.
"Twilight?" Fire frowned in concern. "Are you okay?"
This triggered all of the friends to look towards Twilight who began swaying back and forth before collapsing onto the floor.
"TWILIGHT!"
The world around her became a blur.

"Give her to me!" The voice snarled.
"Never!" Twilight called back, her arms holding her child close to her body. "What do you want with her?"
The girl smiled. "That's not of your concern..." With one wave of her hand, a small group of people emerged from all around Twilight.
For a brief second Twilight caught sight of what seemed to be a tattoo on the girl's hand.
"Leave me alone!" She sobbed. "Leave me alone!!!"
"Oh, Twilight, if you had paid more attention instead of obsessing over which boy to choose, maybe you would have seen all this coming."

"Twilight!" Fire and the rest of her friends excluding Rainbow Dash were gathering around her worriedly. "Twilight are you okay?"
Twilight's eyes flickered open and she groaned. "I- I'm okay..." She frowned, and rubbed her head, sitting up. "I had a- I don't know what it was." She shook her head. "A nightmare... Just a nightmare..."
