chaewon stepped out into the walk in closet connected to jisung's bathroom to find where he placed the clothes. every wall was filled with clothes, and she did admit that jisung had a good sense of style. and let's not forget the amazing smell of them. 'perks of having maids, huh.'
on the ottoman at the center of the room was a set of neatly folded clothes; a pair of shorts, a plain shirt, and some random hoodie. chaewon really needed to know which detergent they used at the palace as the hoodie engulfed her.
before going back out into the room, she quickly patted on some face lotion she found in the bathroom. 'no i really need to know where to get all this good smelling shit...'
she took a seat on the couch she was previously sitting on, and went on her phone for a bit until she noticed the lack of presence of another being.
hi sorry i forgot to say i was done. you can come back.
oh okay.
not even a few seconds later, she heard some shuffling outside as if he had been waiting right outside for the past 30 minutes. who could blame him though, the carpet outside was probably softer than chaewon's bed back home.
jisung carefully opened the door, worried that she still wasn't done with what she needed to do. he laid his eyes on her, with her figure stretched sloppily on the couch. chaewon was looking back up at him, and surprise surprise they felt a tingle on each of their wrists.
jisung swallowed a lump on his throat, before beginning to walk the length of the room. he took a seat on his bed, awkwardly looking at chaewon, who was still observing him. it was so silent you could hear the rumble of jisung stomach.
chaewon let out a small giggle when she heard it, much to the prince's embarrassment. weird, jisung never felt embarrassed.
perhaps it was because he was used to people looking up to him? anywhere he went around the country, people swooned over him for being their beloved prince, but that wasn't the case with chaewon. he'd practically ruined all the chances of her liking him.
the boy slowly stood up cringing, hearing the sound of his bed creaking. what he did next was surely a shock to both people in the room.
"do you wanna have ramen?" he asked, standing stiffly across the room from chaewon.
"WHAT?"
poor guy, he didn't know what that reaction meant.
"uh, like the noodles? geez are you deaf or something..." let's go jisung, the prince of unnecessary comments!
"oh. i thought you meant... nevermind. sure though, thanks," chae said calmly, although she was trying to hide the redness overcoming her face. 'what if he realized... oh god.'
jisung peaked out into the hallway then motioned for her to follow. it was pretty late at night, so to their luck chaewon could walk around freely. that didn't mean they were completely safe, though.
the two were just a yard or two away from the door to the dream hangout when they heard a door opening on the opposite wall of the hall. it was a maid, carrying a basket of freshly washed sheets, her attention focused on it.
chaewon was more shocked by the hand around her wrist than the burning she felt under it as she was pulled into the room. the two could hear the maid let out a small gasp at the shutting at the door, but she quickly shuffled away.
and jisungs hand was still around chaewon's wrist. his focus on the door shifted to the shorter figure next to him.
the girl's eyes flickered between his hand and his face, causing him to immediately let go and walk away. despite her opinions on him now, 10-year-old chae definitely would have passed out if she heard what just happened. so what if she had her prince park jisung phase, she swore it ended years ago...
she took a second to take in the appearance of the room, and once again realized who her company was. the amount of beanbags and soda in here; she didn't even want to took anymore. near the back of the room was a small kitchenette where jisung was squatting by a cupboard, so she headed over to the small booth next to it and took a seat.
the amount of ramen in the cupboard was obnoxious, but to jisung and the dreamies it was titled a necessity. i mean, it helped out today since jisung couldn't casually pop into the kitchen and say, "oh hey, i brought my soulmate for dinner today!"
while he stood in front of the microwave (he didn't want to embarrass himself using the stove), he tried his hardest to ignore the stare of the girl behind him, who coincidentally forgot her phone in his bedroom. doing so was difficult however, because the whole soulmate bond thing made it difficult for him to ignore her in general.

in the third person, watching the two eat together could be described as insufferable, boring, and way too polite.
the both of them quietly ate their noodles, making sure to not slurp too loudly and setting their chopsticks down as they chewed.
your first time 'having ramen together' would be fun they said. chaewon could basically feel jisung's iciness freezing every last cell in her body. every chewing noise was putting her on the edge, until she fell off.
"you know, i kinda expected the prince to have 5 course meals every night."
jisung scoffed, "so you think i'm just some rich royal?"
"that's not what i said."
"it's exactly what you said."
"no it's not. i don't think of you as some rich brat, but not gonna lie i'm starting to," she said, facing jisung's face questiong her to say more.
"i would think of you as my soulmate, but you don't seem to like that idea. thank you for the food."
"i'm sor-" she was out the door before he could finish.
jisung quickly threw away their trash and followed behind to make sure she didn't get caught, and luckily she made it into the room without another maid popping out of a closet.
the girl didn't look like she was in the mood for talking after being wrongly judged by jisung, so he didn't continue on with what he was previously saying. he simply placed a pillow from his bed and a spare comforter next to her and headed to bed, shutting off the lights shortly after.
but, before closing his eyes jisung took a quick look on the internet what "wanna have ramen?" meant in a non-food way, because apparently that existed. let's just say he felt highly self-conscious as he heard the soft breathing of the girl a couple feet away.
